Prep for what? OKC prepped for Harden, and every team does. OKC trapped Lin in game 1, and forced ball out of his hand. It's not like Bev running the offense smoothly or creating own shots and shooting lights out.

Beverly was there to defend WB, and he did a pretty decent job, as well as rebounding and other things. But prepare for Bev? Other than asking WB to calm down and play within the team, what's there to prepare?

From Beverly's playoff numbers he should be an all star next year. His playoff FG% is .478, Offensive Rating 119, Defensive rating 110, TS% .576. These numbers rank up in the top ten of PG in the NBA. Except for his TS% all his numbers are better than Harden's. Maybe he should be the face of the rockets. (numbers are from Basketball Reference). Looks like we have ourselves a new all star maybe super star. Anyway, Harden now has the all star to compliment him. Next year, with Beverly's help we should be in the finals. I don't know if we could beat Miami. Also, we won't have to pay Stephen Curry big bux because Beverly is his equal at least and we won't have a need for Curry. Lin will sit on the bench until he can be traded.

He's locked up on sub million dollar contracts for the next 2 seasons after this one and then is a restricted free agent on year 4 (this year being year 1).

I would never say we should trade Lin because of how much I like Beverley, especially since I think they co-exist on the court together so well and since a solid backup at the point guard position is so important. However, I will say that I have always thought Lin would be very effective coming off the bench and that Beverley was built to play along side Harden (brings defense, does not need the ball, hustles, improving outside shoot, runs the court great).

Maybe this explains beverly's great play on westbrick. He was already injured even before the collision

Bev is a marked man now - look for Perkins and Ibaka to put the hammer down on him next game.
