I've been a little worried that we might see a breakout of what we saw in the summer of 2020 here in Minneapolis following the shooting of Amir Locke but it's been very peaceful. I give some credit to his father for calling out for 22 days of peace and nearly everyone seems to be following that even as there are more protests planned.

Also it being winter here it's hard to want to spend a lot of time in the street when it's 10 degrees.

I have a lot of respect for the father calling for peace (I don't know if I could do so if it was me), but c'mon, it's the Minnesota winter. Remember how you had all those protests in June for George Floyd, but in Floyd's hometown Houston it was more chill? That was Houston summer doing that.

Well it is going to hit 40F today and be in the 30's for the next couple of days. That is very warm for MN right now.

I can hear a helicopter circling right now from where I am close to downtown. I'm guessing that might be following student walkout at schools around the Twin Cities as a protest about the shooting of Amir Locke.
