I'm not comparing her to Tyson or lebron. Quite the opposite, actually. Don't get me wrong, Ronda is a great fighter but the reason she looks so dominant is because the women's division is a joke. She has 20-30 lbs on these girls. It's unfair, it's like beating up on your kid brother. Put her up against someone her own size.
She could beat any woman of size in the octagon. Once they step in the octagon with Rousy, game ******g over. It's not even close. Heck she could beat 6 clutchfan posters including me all at the same time.
What Ronda Rousey is doing for women athletes is simply unprecedented. She is the most bankable star in a sport that is unquestionably male dominated. And she is doing it (not because she is a novelty like Danica Patrick) but because she is the most electrifying force in MMA. You MMA nerds can dog her all you want, but that's a fact. When Ronda fights, the world watches. That is simply not the case with other mma fighters. And don't give me this PPV bs, because Dana White has put her on 2 straight cards that have nobody but her on them to drive sales. With other cards, White couldn't get away with that.
Rousey outweighed her opponent by 1 pound, and she was one inch taller. Saying the division is weak is one thing, but saying she's beating up on smaller people is flat out untrue. You know you are dominant when people expect you to start actively seeking fights against people bigger than you because people your own size are no match.
Clearly someone of you have no idea what you're talking about. She isn't beating up on smaller people. I will agree that she probably does need to fight up in weight simply to increase the challenge, cuz' this is getting silly. She is amazing.
This is getting stupid. Rhonda already said yes, Dana said yes, Cyborg said yes but can't make weight. Cyborg needs to make weight and it will happen. Plain and simple. Rhonda is champ, undisputed, undefeated, and has no obligation to go up in class for someone. Someone needs to make weight to fight her.
you refuse to believe it because the media doesnt hate rousey like they do with serena williams, truthfully williams and rousey are too sides of the same coin. Both talented large amazonian women who use their weight and power as an advantage againist women who are not built the same. Although it has gotten a little better in womens tennis compared to where it was 10 years ago, womens mma is still in infancy stage( remmeber when rich franklin was knocking out cab drivers until anderson came along)
