A 7-8-9 of White, Reddick, and Gurriel would probably be the best bottom of the order in the league next season. When you figure 5-6 could be JT Realmuto and Kyle Tucker, next year’s lineup should be an all-timer.
This. I will say, I really wish one of White/Bregman/Correa/Altuve/Gurriel was a left handed or switch hitter, we have a solid lineup but one more lefty/switch hitter (from outside the OF) would be nice IMO.
Are Astros suppose to be scared of a team that has a 20+ win differential in their division, but are below 0.500 to the rest of the AL?
We'll agree to disagree. Playoffs are never easy no matter who you face. I wouldn't go as far as saying I'm scared, but those pitchers are never easy.
Considering that, it's amazing to me that he looks a good thirty pounds overweight. Baseball is obviously more of a skill game than solely about athleticism but I can't help but think if he killed it in the gym one offseason that he'd be a much better player.
Good read. Some guys grow/work their way out of it. Pujols was a "pear shaped" lardass when he was drafted.
Being portly never stopped Lance Berkman. It's baseball, as long as he eats healthy and is in shape, I wouldn't complain about the extra junk. Can't stand people who count calories as if that denotes health.
You should look at Tom Brady at the Draft Combine, looked like a Skinny High School Kid, who never worked out at the gym.
Tyler White a 27 yr old, 5'11 225 lb, 33rd Round Pick. Tyler worked hard on his fitness, his quickness and power really has really developed, his hitting is very impressive.
Average game time if this happens- 7 hours and 48 minutes. Alan Ashby would not be happy. I'd also say that it would be exceedingly unlikely to ever see the team lose.
