By the way, I am making a statement about the entire Rocket team, when they blow leads it is not one players fault, but if you rely on only one player late in the game, unless that player is a SUPERSTAR...ala Dream or Jordan, you will more often then not lose the game. This is what I don't understand, you say that one player down the stretch can't win a game, but you want the ball exclusively in Francis hand. Nobody is stopping Francis from taking last second shots, he feels that Mobley has some advantages. Obviously Francis feels that way, because he's not complaining. And Mobley is FAR from a superstar, whereas Francis might become one. He hits big shots in games, and like Jordan said, he missed more late game shots then hit them. Webber loves the guy. Doc Rivers basically said he is unstoppable, so did Vince Carter. Toronto and Chicago tried to get him, and he's averaging nearly 20 points a game and is the 2nd option on a team that has one of the best turnarounds in the league, a 20 game turnaround and has been feature in numerous articles. And he's not a superstar!? My main point is that I think Francis would develop faster with a FRONTCOURT complimentary player. You think that, but Francis, Rudy, and numerous other people don't think that. Francis isn't a mega-star yet, will be though, but he is a superstar YOUNG player that can't take over a game night in and night out YET! Why people want to compare Mobley and Francis and then say "he is the real leader", when we have two young players who SHARE the responsibility instead of having a team with one superstar young player like the Clippers, with a couple of good player and who are numerous games under .500. People compare Francis to Isiah, and guess who helped Isiah? 6'4 Joe Dumars who was a Finals MVP. They were one of the most explosive backcourts in the league and won without a true center. Bill Laimbeer was basically a PF dropped at center. Mobley and Francis can be one of the most explosive backcourts in the league. Francis and Mobley are good friends, and the team has GOOD CHEMISTRY! And people want to trade him for a big man just because they don't like the guy, or his style, even though it helps us win? ------------------ Rocks2001 in disguise. . . By the way, I'm pretty sure the name of the play is Y zip. When I was at the warrior game saturday, I heard Rudy say it pretty clearly as Y zip. I heard it for sure on TV on Sunday night. I think its just an option off an inbounds play where Walt makes a little y cut and then gets the ball from inbounds. Anyone hear "Y-zip" any time other than an inbounds play?
RocksMillenium: Mobley's poor defense has nothing to do with Francis' poor defense. The truth is, they're both pretty execrable at defense. I give Francis a slight nod because he's not undersized for his position.
