It's Lin's first full season as a starter. It takes time to get used to the schedule. Almost every first year starter has talked about how difficult it is to get used to playing back-to-backs, being on the road, etc. The Rockets have had more back-to-backs than any other team in the league. Give him a break. He'll probably be more used to it next season.

    It's In-N-Out, Not Jolibee.

They use these ingredients in their burgers.

Another stat ... Jeremy Lin has hit a 3pt shot in 8 straight games. Previous career high is 5.

I've probably jinxed him for the next game ... sorry

Since we're gonna jinx him anyway, his current streak of double digit scoring at 9 games is his season high. Next highest streak is 7 straight games of 10 or more points last month.

    Lin's ppg averge by Month:

    November: 10.2
    December: 13.8
    January: 12.4
    February: 14.5
    March: 16.0 *incomplete*

The upward trend isn't from taking shot attempts but from a steady increase in FG%. Lin averages only 11 attempts per game, that ranks in the lower half of the league. Take away that poor November month and he is a 14ppg/6assists guy while only attempting 11 shots a game.

    Read that again...

....14ppg/6assists guy while only attempting 11 shots a game.
That is pretty DARN good for his FIRST full season as a starter...

Oh sure you can try to emulate it because most people are closer to 6'3 than 7'6.... but you can't teach Lin's basically world class quickness. As a whole he is really an incredible athlete. And I'm not trying to be racist at ALL, but I don't think you see many Asian guys with his type of athleticism and quickness. I think that makes him an anomaly no matter how tall he is.

I think you're mistaken here. I've seen quite a lot of those types of Asian guys play in any city with a reasonable Asian population. But as a group, most of them will never think of playing professional bball for all the societal reasons. Even Lin got a degree first.

Perhaps Lin is the most dedicated to the game, and the most determined to succeed. He is just the first to break through from an Asian American standpoint. Maybe he'll break through all the stereotypes we hold so that the next Asian American player won't be such a big deal.

IMHO in general Asians have speed and quickness but not size and total power (due to size).
Bruce Lee's speed is legendary and so was his power per weight ratio.
Manny Pacquiao's speed is also amazing.

Crap, last time Morey posted something about his improved stats. He started to suck very badly next few games.

Hope Jason Friedman doesn't jinx him this time.

Last time Morey stated that McHale should be COY. We went on a losing streak. Didn't we?

Add Liu Xiang, Jet Li, Tony Jaa, or anyone that has already gotten recognition either through general entertainment.

The size, power, resources and avenues to develop and play basketball, etc definitely are the major factors. There's many Asians in FIBA Asia that are known for their speed but just weren't able to make it to the NBA since it takes more than just speed to be able to play at the top level.

Two basketball players that come to mind that were recognized for their speed are Chen Jianghua and Jet Chang, but none of them could probably play PG in the NBA right now. Although Jet really is a SG, he might give it another shot in this year's summer league though.

Lin's poor diet of happy meals and fried chicken leads directly to him sucking in b2b's.

    Where is McHale on this?

That's because what you just said isn't true.
Lin has an excellent diet if you bother to look up what he eats regularly.
He does admit he loves IN-N-OUT burgers, which I can't blame him since I love it too.

    From an interview (http://greatist.com/fitness/live-pro-nbas-jeremy-lin):

"For breakfast, I try to get 50 grams of protein, so I’ll eat like five eggs and a few pieces of turkey or ham or some other lean meat. I usually do my lift and morning court workout back-to-back so right after that, I’ll get a protein shake, which is another 30 grams of protein. And then for lunch, I’ll pretty much always have a salad and a sandwich (with chicken breast, salmon, or turkey). Then I’ll usually take a nap, get up for my afternoon workout and then have dinner. Dinner is different [every night]. I try to eat a big salad. That’s ideal, but a lot of times it ends up being pasta and chicken. I try to keep everything lean— lean carbs and lean meat. And then at night, I’ll have a casein protein shake.

What’s something you wouldn’t want your coach to know that you eat?

In-N-Out Burger. That’s my weakness. If I drive by and smell it, it’s over."

So yeah, I thought I had to paste this before the stories about his happy meals and fried chicken actually become fact through people sharing rumors.

I don't think either one of those guys in the videos are as fast as Lin. And the 1st guy, the more PG type, is much shorter. Lin really is an anomaly when you look at all his attributes IMO

The truth is local rocket fans (aka "ture rocket fans") hate Lin because of the asian invasion comes with him, (remember white folks put all japans west coast into concentration camp.) while still pretend very hard even to the degree of deceptive to himself to be rational. Kidding la.
