That is bull**** and you know it. After every play-off exit McGrady puts the blame on himself. McGrady played for teh first month because we had injuries. He gets out there and plays, then when he plays poorly and it hruts the team, like in the games you pointed out, he sits becaue his bad performances affects his mentality.
Artest has played 3 more games than McGrady and has been jsut as inconsistant as T-Mac has been. He has been shooting poorly and been taking bad shoots. It is an accurate assesment to make. When T-Mac doesn't play he is a coward with no heart. When Artest misses I read nothing, but the next game he plays he is a true warrior.

The problem is this. It is the attitude of our fans. They expected T-Mac along with Yao to play 82 games and for us to have the best record in the West. Every single season we start the season fit and play great Basketball then falter as we approach the finish line, because either Yao or T-Mac get hurt. That is why we got Artest. So Yao and T-Mac didn't have to play 82 games, but be at there best by April.

The only thing anyone can be critical of when it comes to T-Mac is not rehabing his knee properly during the offseason. He played 3 great games, but still you muppets focus on two poor games, ignoring the other 3 so you can bash T-Mac.

'csux' brought up a fair statistic and all you tools have to do as respond to the statistic, not insult the guy/girl. They have both missed games because of injury and have played through pain. They have both also been inconsistant on the court.

To be honest the guy obviously cant play due to pain, injury or is lacking the mental toughness to endure the pain. I think he wants to be better, but doesnt know how, its just too much pain for him to fight through. He goes out on the floor and just doesn't have it. He plays poorly and people rag on him for "not caring", he sits to rehab and he is all of a sudden he is a p***y and is quitting on the team. People endless quote this line from doctors that he can't hurt it anymore by playing on it, but fail to realize "failing to hurt" and "being effective" are two verrryyy different things. He tried to play through it and hurt the team.

Its a lose lose situation for him really, because no matter what he does it isn't good enough for the cry-baby fans. FFS, he didn't even play tonight and there are 600 new threads bashing him. This isn't 03, he will not be the scoring machine he once was. This is the new Tmac, he creates plays, because he still draws the doubles. He can still score in spurts, but he can't just take over a game whenever he wants. This transformation is the reason we have Artest, to lessen the burden. I know we all want an 82-0 season, but the most important thing is to ensure EVERYONE IS HEALTHY COME PLAYOFF TIME.

For some stupid reason lines in the sand have been drawn and people constantly try and compare all the players trying to tote who is best, who has the most heart, who we should trade, while forgetting previous games/years/streaks, etc. NEWS FLASH: all three are wearing Rockets uniforms.

This forum should focus on discussion about starters (Brooks vs Rafer), Coaching (rotations), Macthups, etc. Having to read same stupid **** over and over gets old. Blah blah he has no heart, blah blah trade him, blah blah such and such is better than this.

TLDR version: Shut up already and just root for your team.

Now see, that's just funny. The assertion in this thread is that Yao is unclutch like Artest, and that Yao has less heart than Artest. Namely, that is the hypothesis.

Since you agree with that statement, the onus is on YOU to come up with the stats.

And of course, somebody did come up with stats, but of course, your eyes are better.

To me, Yao hasn't been particularly clutch over his career due to his stamina, but he improved a lot in that regards this year.

Oh wow, we should trade for these guys ASAP.

But you even if you ignore the double teams, the fouls, the 2 for 1's, etc, know what a person with a brain would say instead?

He would say that a no name 5 can't do this night in night out whereas Yao can.

And you know what? That's the reason that they are a no name centres.

where wa that from Artest through the other 5 quarters when Yao was help keeping them a head and in the game?

Great performance but are you saying if yao was not on this team and his double teams didn't exist that Artest would still do this damage?

as for tracys heart I can't argue really, he has to make that argument for himself.

yao takes it at double teams any time he can and still makes the shots, so you can have your opinion but at least be fair about it.

if we had lost this game at Artests expense this thread wouldn't exist unless you still wanted to point fingers at Yao and TMac. the latter is understandable but yao is trying hard.

artest is not as clutch as yao but does have more heart than TMac.

lol, Artest was just as bad this game....

'heart'.........lol, all that means is that Artest had to work twice as hard to be equally as bad as the rest of the team. great.
