General managers and personnel men were asked to rank the top 30 players, and TSN ranked 50 players based on the voting. Only 10 players were ranked in the top 30 on every ballot: Shaquille O'Neal, Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnett, Tracy McGrady, Allen Iverson, Vince Carter, Jason Kidd, Ray Allen and Paul Pierce.

    No Steve Francis.

These players received votes but didn't make the top 50 cut: Richard Hamilton (Wizards), Marcus Camby (Knicks), Jamaal Tinsley (Pacers), Cuttino Mobley (Rockets), Kenyon Martin (Nets), Danny Fortson (Warriors), Rashard Lewis (SuperSonics) and Bonzi Wells (Trail Blazers).

    Includes one Cat.

Why can't they have a thingie at the end of every year, where the coaches of all the teams vote for the top players in the league. 50 is a lot, but I think 30 is reasonable. This would also be an interesting addition to contract negotiations. More incentive.

They can join this with the MVP voting. Number one, is MVP. The rest is a list everyone can see.

    That would be cool.

Vince Carter is showy, but will never be a Finals MVP
