Not impressed. It doesn't seem like "The Tonight Show" to me. What the heck is that intro music? Yuck! Like his other show, I think Conan will find his feet eventually, but as of now, I don't like it. I'll wait with an open mind. In the meantime, Dave looks even better than before.

As I stated before, I really like it, but I was also a big fan of Late Night from the beginning. (Anyone remember when he did the show in Houston when we aired his show at 1 AM and he was downtown? hiliarious)

I wonder, though, how people in their mid 40's and above will like him. Lots of that demographic loved Leno and Conan is a lot different.

that isn't the joke. The joke was nothing is going to change in the year 2000. Then they did not get cancelled and the joke was wtf are they gonna do when it is 2000. They did nothing. 3000 makes it seem possible that some of the stuff they say could happen.

The intro music is his old music just changed a bit. It is almost identical.

It seems to me that Conan is kind of "starting over" given the new time-slot. And one of my worries, which is that he'll start to worry about his audience now that he's no longer on at midnight, is becoming true.

That said, Tom Hanks interview was awesome.

Well he's stated multiple times that he's not going to pander to anybody and just do what he does and be himself. Infact, he even has a video in the can where he makes fun of the entire "focus group" process. I'm sure it'll air this week.

You think that some of the stuff they say in the skit could happen in the year 3000 despite the fact that it involves people who are alive right now?

I imagine the old folks who were comfortable with plain ol' Leno will be the toughest to make the transition.

Anyway, I wish Conan wouldn't have forgotten Pimpbot. :(

we are visiting my grandmother this week and she told me to turn it off because Conan was a jerk. She claims his jump at the end of the intro is simply a jerk thing to do.

Anyone else find Ferguson better? I do and with Dave slipping (maybe a few years left) I can't wait to see what happens when these guys go 1 on 1

When the show was in NYC I often times used to see Pierre sitting by himself on a bench, talking on his cell phone at Washington Square Park near the NYU campus. I always wanted to say something to him and how I thought he was funny, but I didn't want to disturb his phone call.

I love the "Recliner of Rage" bit they used to run on the old show.

I also once saw Abe Vigoda literally walking about half an mph on the Upper East Side.

Are you serious? What an insult to the ConeBone. He's as funny as Mr. Bean.

The final Late Night sketch where Conan released Abe Vigoda into the wild was classic.

If Ferguson is ever host of the Late Show, it will be a sad state of affairs for Late Night television.

I'm so happy Conan is back on the air, and after never having a chance to see him live in NYC ( I went to a Letterman taping once) I can have the chance to see him in his new digs...

Conan over Letterman is a no-brainer, and I would choose Letterman any night over Leno.
