I actually enjoyed the first half of the show very much. He had me laughing out loud for a good while.

I'm not a huge fan of Will Ferril so therefore I didn't think he or that part of the show was really all that funny

The band...I like Pearl Jam but that peformance was just meh. Overall, I give it a B+ :)

Last night's show was great. I couldn't stop laughing the first 30 minutes or so. I've always felt that Conan was the most talented late night show host in the business. I'm glad that he's finally got his chance on the big stage. Now they just need to get rid of Leno for good...

It kinda sucks that people are just now going to discover Conan though. The guy has been comedic gold for years!

I'm just glad he is finally back and it seems like he didn't miss a beat.

I like the pearl jam song a lot after a couple listens... eddie's vocals are terrible though. I'm betting the album version is good.

I've always liked Conan's style of comedy, and liked Jay's too. Although I do agree that they catered to two different audiences, I don't know how that'll play over. I can easily see alot of the older Leno crowd headin over to Letterman, while the younger crowd stays around.

One thing I missed in the first show though that I hope they do go back to is the banter between Max and Conan. Replacing that (or going back to) Andy Richter and Conan sorta loses the possible comedic value in Max's segments, and especially with Joel not being around they wont be able to do those "hangin' out with Joel & Max & Conan" things. He did seem nervous last night and I think it'll take a week or two for him to get into his swing but should be able to make it work.

Andy being at that podium is pathetic. Why is he not on the couch? Seriously what is the point of being there and just laughing.

andy definitely needs to be on the couch.

i hate that they have to constantly change camera back and forth between the two. i want vintage conan and andy i.e. staring contests. that's probably one of my favorite talk show skits.

    Lolz.

    Haven't you heard the news?

I was recently appointed Miss Clutchfans 2009.

Meanwhile you're an ugly stage hand banished from the public eye forever. Emotionally frail and overweight, you can be found rummaging through old garb looking for some soiled clothing to please your perverted lusts.

Angry you will never see the lime light, you confine yourself to the couch, perpetually eating pretzels and sadly searching for one moment of glory in a world that otherwise looks you over.

I have to go powder my nose and shine my tiara now.

    Enjoy your pretzels.

I don't think Conan appeals to nearly as wide an audience as Jay does. I will probably continue to watch Conan, as I just don't like Letterman very much. I don't think Conan has ever made me laugh out loud. I don't know what is funny about driving the trams around in a circle. Oh well, the main objective for the Tonight show for me has been to put me to sleep before the timer turns the tv off. I don't see a problem in the foreseeable future.

Pfft. Like this thread was so high and mighty. Where the hell are we going to have a pissing contest?

Just let the red dot continue to fume about his miserable state of being.
