I could tell he was nervous at the beginning. But Conon always brings it, and he's done just that here. I remember being made fun of for watching him when I was around 9 or 10. Who's laughing now?
It looks like Conan hasn't lost much of that edge by moving to a more mainstream audience. I think he'll go full NYC Conan in a few weeks as people get used to him. But for starters its promising that his show hasn't changed much. Also glad to see Andy Richter back.
I was thinking the same thing. 1) They didn't call it the Max Weinberg 7 2) They never showed anyone but Max 3) The trumpet player didn't sound like Mark Pender on the intro theme.
never saw a closeup except max...so they arent calling them the max weinberg 7 anymore? its max weinberg and the tonight show band?
I saw pender. Pretty sure they were all there. He is obviously doing things for people who have never seen the show before.
They are all there, they've just added more guys as well. The guy who usually fills in for Max when he's touring is also a full member now.
i've only watched up to the conan at the laker game part... it's a mediocre conan episode, but he's clearly nervous, which is kind of cool actually. Conan rocks, I'm sure it'll be just as good soon enough.
