What the f are you smoking?

Aaron Brooks? Carl Landry? Luis Scola? Shane's defense? You call this an untalented supporting cast? Get outta here.

I don't smoke. Talent in the NBA is a comparative thing. Young, tall, athletic players are all over this league. Some teams run them in like waves. My point is that there are Wafer's sitting on benches throughout the league, but on the Rockets he stands out. Why? Get the point. It is all relative.

I think the supporting cast is more than sufficient. Certainly better than it has ever been during Tmac's time here.

It's the "stars" this year that have been the problem. If Tmac was completely healthy and motivated then the team would be fine, but unfortunately that seems to be the exception rather than the rule these days. And expecting that to change doesn't seem particularly likely.

I really feel like you are jumping the gun. Guys like magic barkley among other "analysts" get paid to make brash statements about teams.

We have one of the best benches in the nba. At this point AB is struggling, but at no point can you tell me that these guys cant come in and contribute and hold a lead.

You mention that wafer seems like he has all star athleticism. Did you know he was probably the most athletic player in his draft class? He had the highest vertical of all his peers. The fact that you even mention that screems of a knee jerk reaction and a serious underestimation of the Rockets bench players.

we'll see when this year ends. there doesn't appear to be any major trades coming up so we'll see what the results are for this year.

i see glimpses of greatness, but the consistency is lacking b/c of all the injuries and lack of togetherness. if by march and we're still playing like this, then sure.

but we have more than 2 months to ship this thing right. it's not how you start, it's how you finish. if we enter the playoffs on a roll like we did in 04-05 even as the 4th/5th seed, i have alot of confidence.

I get the feeling Les wants a superstar in return for trading McGrady. That's not happening this season or next.

    McGrady for Dunleavy+Jack+Nestorovic
Dorsey + cash from Pacers to Memphis

boo this man!!!! its crazy how 50 million threads come up when the rockets lose. Trade this person trade that person and the main guys are T-Mac and Rafer. What about the other 10 guys what are they doing. I like Rafer but a Pg is our problem not this McGrady/Yao experiment.

Perfect example. Denver Nuggets b4 Iverson and now look at them with Billups

WTF? How in the hell are we going to be somethin serious with 100 injuries?? Look at the Jazz, this is the group that played a conference finals (better group now) 2 years ago, and they are now out of playoffs because of the injuries. It's hard to compete in this situation, very hard.

We are healthy right now, let's see what happens. Anyway, I promise I won't waste more time trying to convince anybody in this board. What a fans

I think you missed my point about Wafer; his emergence shows how much this team is "starved" for athleticism. I like our role players, especially Scola, but bless their hearts they have skills but they are not big or athletic. Now Brooks is athletic, but few others are. Rafer shouldn't be starting, but A.B. is obviously not ready, may never be and we have no alternative. Chuck is a nice guy. Moving on, Barry can give only spot minutes. Battier is grossly overrated. I like Landry who was the darling last season because he made a few dunks. The fans hadn't seen much of that. If you watch other teams in the NBA you begin to realize how unathletic the Rockets are. Defense was their thing, and they won alot of games with it. Well, forget that anymore, and we haven't even talked about Yao and Tmac.

This will be my last post for awhile, I am taking a vacation from the Rockets. Frankly, I am sick of them. I am a fan for the fun of it. Suffering I can get in many other places. If I don't come back, for the most part this board had been alot of fun. On my vacation I will explore some other hobbies. You guys take care and good luck with the Rockets.
