i like that...too often religion teaches WHO God is without ever encouraging anyone to actually GET TO KNOW HIM in the sense of experiencing God.
Maybe our soul/spirit is really a part of God, that we get on loan at birth and we return at death. Praying and having a personal relationship with God (Christian Best Practices btw) is just letting our God part keep in touch with its larger self.
i think they can be separate. and what you describe sounds a lot like Christian theology to me. we've allowed something to get in the way of our relationship with God...whatever that looks like.
That is very true statement. That is just how my feable mind trys to understand some of the more complex things in life. All my understand of God and glory in heaven will be dwarfed on the day I actually witness Him and it. I'm enjoying my days here but counting down my unknown days to see Him.
Nah I was just joking with you. That does sound like Hinduism from the little that I know. Personally I don't believe in a soul and a permanent, separate self. We are a wave that is really the ocean. Every moment we are born, every moment we die.
