    1. magic preferred playing jameer nelson
    2. couldn't start behind marbury and nate robinson in nyc
    3. waived by portland who preferred steve blake
    4. waived by rockets, couldn't find time behind aaron brooks or rafer alston
    5. waived by memphis. repeat waived by memphis.

Loving Houston won't turn a career around.

I think Tim Grover is a trainer. He's training Tracy McGrady who's a starter in the league not a dude who got waived 3 times by teams with average point guards.

    1. False, Sure they did, after they gutted the entire team that WAS winning.
    2. False, Starting SG...
    3. False, Portland WANTED to lose. By design...Same with the Magic.
    4. False. He did get playing time, and played pretty well, but had to have quadriceps surgery shortly after, midway through the season.
    5. True.

He is probably done. But never say never...

I opened this thread when it had maybe 2-3 posts. I'm shocked that a Steve Francis "what if?" thread still goes 5 pages strong.

Do Stevie Franchise fans still smoke from the pipe that Steve did in that photo? That's the only explanation for believing he can or even wants to return to the NBA.

dude I understand the Steve Francis love, but I think there's a better chance that Maxwell gets out of prison and becomes comeback player of the year.

    This ain't Brett Favre.
