Even my wife is looking forward to the debate for entertainment purposes. I have to admit I expect it to be highly entertaining in a dark humor sort of way. Ratings might be very high. I listened briefly to Rush today. His fans are fired up for the debate. Rush was gushing that Cruz recently blew the house away at a Koch Brother funded confab in California by emphasizing how climate change is a liberal plot and a hoax. It might help Cruz pry some of the Koch's money away from their boy Walker.
The secret is out: say something crazy, go up in the polls. It's going to be a real-life SNL skit with the unintentional comedy factor through the roof.

Saw an interview with Ben Carson. I don't like his positions but if this debate were real and fair he could destroy any of those scheduled to appear.

Don't forget the word "feckless" - it's what passes for foreign policy analysis in the GOP. Just repeat "feckless" over and over again, implicitly promise to restore the proper amount of FECK and you are doing well.
Honest question, can anyone name ONE substantive GOP stance that when brought up and discussed... Nevermind
It is really funny seeing what a mess the republican party is. ofcourse in a couple of years this will change. I really do not understand why the US has a 2 party system. Because now the democrats will have no competition. On top of that the best way to devide a country is making them choose between 2 opposing views.
That is certainly NOT the vibe I get from Carson. The vibe I get from him is that he is the weakest candidate in the entire republican field. He's absolutely awful and sounds like a idiot. The person who is going to dominate this debate is going to be Trump. I don't think it's going to even be close. I'd bet that most of the field is going to be scared to challenge him.
Not expecting any real insightful exchanges but I would expect that the other candidates will gang up on Trump... attempting to goad him into saying something complete stupid while trying to appear "presidential". Whether Trump has a Perry moment is the question...
The problem is that this type of buffoonery is rewarded by Republican voters. The Republican party of today is a race to see who can sound more belligerent and victimized, they can try to out vulgarize Trump but that's very hard to do, and the high road is generally rewarded with an early exit in the Republican world.
I bet the other candidates will try to ignore Trump. None of them gain anything by stooping to his level; they can only damage themselves.
