Give me Fall. That's the best time to be cruising on roadtrips around Texas and other southern states. Spring is too humid, summer is too hot, winter is too depressing and cold (although I actually like winter as long as it doesn't ice).
FINALLY getting rain in the inner loop. The nice winds, rain, college football and beers. Gotta say this is a good day.
Rain is getting close to Houston and now the recent runs of models are indicating that and have Lee drifting west towards Texas. Temporary move? We'll see. http://www.wunderground.com/tropical/tracking/at201113_model.html
Been raining since around noon here in Nacogdoches. Never really got all that heavy, but was coming down pretty good for at least 3 hours. Since then, it's been light.
tremendous amount of rain just off the coast...circulating counter-clockwise though, so doesn't appear headed this way. such a tease.
Seems like most of central Texas is on fire today. Cedar Park, Steiner Ranch, Pflugerville, Bastrop all have had large fires today. All of Steiner Ranch was asked to evacuate. This wind is not helping matters. If you're in any of these areas, stay safe.
It feels so good right now. Cool and windy. My cousin and her family lives in Pflugville and they are okay. Her uncle on her dad lost his home in Bastrop to the fire. Terrible
cloudy and windy all damn day yesterday and it couldn't just rain for a solid hour or two... wtf?!?!?
Austin is literally surrounded by huge fires. Some of them are still 0% contained. I hope everyone is safe. Cool breeze finally coming in...at quite a price.
