Exactly. That's why I'm not sold on bringing in an older guy like Dunn when we already have guys like Green, Walker, Taylor, and the potential draft pick on the roster. Not sure where Walker and Taylor fit into our rotation, but that's a lot of RBs on one team if you ask me. But I guess with the luck of RBs this team has had, we can never have too many.

I see no quotes in there by Smith or Kubiak. Only speculation by McClain, who, as we all know, has never been wrong. ETA: I see you changed the post. I'll check out the video later.
This was not a blog or opinion/speculation column. It was presented as fact based, I am sure, on his contacts with the Texans. I am sure McLane wouldn't state something as fact in his article unless he had obtained that information from the Texans.
Unless it's a direct quote from Smith or Kubiak, I'm not going to believe that it's a done deal that they will draft an RB just because a reporter reports it. (I still haven't watched the video so I have no idea whether or not they have said it)
http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/5557869.html "In no certain order," Kubiak said, "we're looking for a young left tackle to develop. Our running back situation has to be solidified. We're looking for a back that's going to be here for a long, long time. It's no secret that we're looking for help in the secondary. That's a priority, too."
