lol, even if that's what he feels there is no way someone as smart as BOB would say something like that.

    garbage tweet

Look I don't like it either, but I suggest a change of tactics, doing this....

Why is this a surprise to you. I've been telling you and OMR this since before the combine... Lol. But it's no secret because just about all of the experts have been saying Blake has more upside but Teddy is more NFL ready. And Blake has just as much upside than the quarterbacks in next year's draft as well except for maybe Famous who you have to watch around the ladies.

This doesn't mean the Texans will draft Blake though. But if they don't, you can bet Jacksonville will. And Blake is a hometown hero in Florida, unlike Teddy who ran to Kentucky... Smh.

I am starting to think that Bridgewater and Manziel are not on the Texan's radar. I doubt Clowney is either. Like most of the "experts," I have no idea. Still don't know who my favorite is. I will vote in the poll right before the draft.

The real value in this draft is in the depth. Would love to trade out of 1 (most likely to Cleveland at 4) and get a haul of picks to speed up this rebuild. Think we could have ourselves a hell of a draft if we do this.

No way he shows his cards like that, textbook media chatter.

I think they keep the pick and draft Bortles or Clowney with Manziel as a dark horse depending on pro day, workouts, interviews, etc.

To be fair, we don't know what he meant by that, he could have simply been saying that he'd seen all he needed to see because he'd already seen him throw at the combine, or that he'd seen all he needed to see to rank him #1 on his QB list or whatever.

That was a great interview -- good questions -- better answers... he's mentally solid.

Why would this guy even make such a statement? It's an empty tweet if you trust your source, state that BOB said that. If you don't trust your source, don't print it.

ps I want bridgewater. nobody else in the league will have qb with a cooler name than teddy bridgewater.

I concur. The guy came across as poised and prepared and he seemed really natural, too. Of course, just because he interviews well doesn't mean he will play well. I just can't wait for the draft, man...

The biggest difference between Bortles, Gabbert and Mallet is that it appears Bortles has a brain. That's a plus.

And yes, I know Gabbert scored highly on his wonderlic (a useless metric)

How amazing would it be if all 3 QBs turned out to be garbage. So much of our time spent posting and it will all be for nothing.

My guess isn't that O'Brien was blown away/sold.

My guess is that O'Brien was bored to tears by another mostly meaningless pro day.

Bortles seems to have it all -- leadership, mental strength, prototypical size, arm strength, proven results on the field, the praise of Bill O'Brien and the scouts... not sure why so many here wouldn't be happy with him. He won at Penn State, he won at Louisville (besting Bridgewater), and he upset Baylor in a BCS bowl game. He led UCF to a level that they've never seen before. The guy just has it. He's a fierce competitor, and someone with the intelligence/mental strength to lead men to victory. No other prospect has what he has.

Because he wasn't being hyped up all during the year like the other quarterbacks in the draft. Doesn't mean the Texans will draft him. We've been surprised before by the Texans on draft day.
