Not really. I'm neither a UT fan or an Aggie and I'm not a fan of hype machine QB's.

All I want to say it's even though some of you guys have been ridiculous with your homerism/takes whatever it is you want to call it, it's still a hundreds times better than seeing a rockets thread with the name Lin in it.

So ready to see what happens tonight

That the Texans are even thinking about acquiring two first round picks makes me deliriously happy.

John Brenkus just delivered the ether to Clowney and Manziel. He said clowney will be a bust. And Ebron is the best player in the draft. this sheds light on why we are trying to trade pick. we picked the wrong year to tank. smh

Don't worry, if the Texans draft Manziel this part of the forum will turn into the GARM 2.0 with JFOFs.

I mean if he's the new franchise QB wouldn't his success mean the the team's success? This isn't like Basketball. If Manziel is a beast the Texans will be great no?

Heh. I love sarcasm as much as the next person, but you have to indicate it in text or some will think you are serious.

If Lin is a beast the Rockets will be great no? Lin fans, Teddy fans, JFF fans.....I see no difference.

Problem is that in basketball you can be great but have a crappy team and you get all the blame.

Not in football. When has a great QB been a scapegoat for a crappy team? There's a reason why the QB position is the most important in all of sports.

It works the same way in basketball if Lin was actually a 25ppg, 10apg, 5rbd, 3stl player we'd still be in the playoffs.
Works the same way in Football. I mean look at last year. Our defense wasn't HOF-level but we were one year removed from one of the best defensive teams in the league. Schaub's BS yips fatigued our D and it all fell apart from there.

Put a great QB on a crappy team and you get a scapegoat. For whatever stupid reason, the ignorant masses think that winning and losing is something the QB does. There were talks that Drew Brees was on the decline the year that the Saints were terrible despite him passing for over 5k yards. Football fans get really stupid when it comes to evaluating QB's.

It depends on where your cutoff is, but I think he's a solid Top 10 QB overall.

If Manziel is good then the JFOF's wouldn't be a problem, it's if he doesn't perform and the JFOF fans start blaming everyone other than Johnny when it would become an issue like it is with LOFs.

And that's probably the biggest reason I wouldn't want him.

If he plays great, fine. Everybody's happy. If he sucks, the amount of delusion in this forum will be unbearable.

You don't know how happy I am that VYOF's were largely contained to one thread.
