His potential is an A on 2K! That means, Adelman is stupid for not playing him (Pat Pat's potential is an A- on 2K).
The reason Chase hasn't lost his rotation shot yet is because even as a rookie, he understood how to score within the offense, and Williams does not. Imo Williams has a better upside-defense, butwe can't have another Ron Artest out there jacking up shots.
Wow, is that signature a misspelled version of what I think it means? Or is it a reference to something else?
Was watching OKCity against Atlanta a little last night. Russell Westbrook, 6'5" with incredible handle, athleticism, can go to the rack on anybody, and sees the floor really well for dishes. He's a total mismatch for a normal sized point guard. Gotta have a guy TWill's size to battle with him.
Arian Foster, Texans player. It's a big joke. On another note, I doubt our day-to-day roster moves have anything to do with poising to get a superstar. In fact, I'm getting a little disappointed in Clutchfans when every single conversation boils down to "we need a superstar to win" and "are we getting a superstar tomorrow?". Nothing against the OP. The fact is that superstars don't grow on trees... EVERY team is a superstar away from being better; saying we want a superstar is dumber than saying grass is green.
Ha. OK. PC radar off. Back to topic, Bud's putting up a good fight to keep his rotation spot. Barring an injury or a trade, Williams may have a long wait before he gets his chance.
Man I always thought Westbrook was 6'2...Courtney Lee could probably counter him btw. Lowry can handle whoever they have at the 2
This sounds like a descent idea to me...especially if he's just going to ride the bench. Morey said on 610 this week that they are treating him like a rookie and looking to develop him slowly. 5-10 games in the D league might really help him.
They run the same system down in the Rio Grand Valley that they do here in Houston. The Rockets are playing a 10-deep rotation, including a complete second team unit, which has not featured Terrance Williams for even a single minute of game time. If they send him down to the Valley for a month or so, he will get starters minutes and as much individual attention as he can possibly handle. To really learn the Rockets system, players need game time, not pine time. He could learn what he needs to know much more quickly and effectively down in the Valley playing starters minutes in live games. It would not be a demotion, it would be a rapid tutorial designed to help him get up to speed quickly. Then when he returns, hopefully we see production right away like we did last night from Patrick Patterson, who also spent about a month with the Vipers this season.
Battier does play inconsistently....Sometimes he'll be on sometimes he'll lay an egg...Basically you never know what your going to get out of Battier. But you know what your going to get out of Martin and Scola. Two of our more CONSISTENT players.
Daryl Morey: Spoiler Quick update on personnel. Not about moves but you got guys sitting out. Updates on Williams, etc. Everyone is healthy. Terrence and Patrick available to play. We're deep. Hard for coach to play more than 10 guys. Terrence will get a shot when he gets a shot. We trust coach to make those decisions. He looks good in practice but got other guys who are really good. We didnt acquire him with idea he would play right away. Thought he was a good bet overtime. Well, I saw the note that Jonathan said that you wanted more practice, etc. He has gotten in 3. One a half practice. He'll get one in today. Hopefully Rockets fans can be patient because we are. He is a guy we think can help over time but right now, this team is playing well, and guys playing are playing well. Terrence is like a rookie. He played last year but played on a team where everyone played by default on a 12 win team. Bringing him along slow is what coach is good at doing. He is on a winning program. He is a winner, was at Louisville, and is enjoying being here on a winning program. Understood now? Keep this in mind so we dont have the conversation every other day of why Terrance Williams isnt playing
You are only looking at scoring. Battier is our 5th scorer. He is as consistent as a rock when it comes to other aspects of the game. And I really doubt that Williams can be as consistent as Battier.
Coach Adelman has a history of not playing guys early on Jordan Hill Aaron Brooks Carl Landry and now maybe Patrick Patterson Just cause you don't play early doesn't mean your not in their plans.
Right now Terrence Williams is doing his job, which is to light a fire under Budinger's ass just like there was one last year when minutes were not guaranteed. Now if Budinger sucks again, we always can threaten him with a replacement guy that more athletic and better defensively. If Bud's shot is on, however, he's going to be the most valuable guy to our team, so now he knows. Don't suck. Make shots.
Drives me nuts....because everyone's definition of a superstar is different. Even Boston when they got KG and Allen, neither of those guys IMO, were superstars, but you put them with Pierce and Rondo, and you have 4 star players. Boston does not have a Superstar, they won with stars, IMO....but some folks view them all as Superstars....to me, they have a low threashold for superstardom... DD
