Every single men's match from the quarters to the finals was amazing. The Sinner/Alcaraz match is one of the greatest ones ever.
While men's tennis is more competitive without a true GOAT, they do need one so the sport can have an icon and players have something to chase. I don't think they really have had that yet. Someone the world can really put on a pedestal.
gosh, I really miss Roger Federer. Sad to see him retire. Nadal-Federer rivalry is what made me watch tennis. Great memory. There won’t be another one like this. I am glad they are friends.
It makes me feel physically uncomfortable to watch Andy Murray play -- how has he won 2 marathon 5 setters? Dude looks like he can barely walk or move his upper body because of pain.
It's pretty amazing. I thought for sure Berratini was going to win. The amazing thing is that Murray actually won. It wasn't like Berratini was playing badly.
Not calling Djoko the goat at this point is laughable. He’d have the most slams if he was allowed to play 3 of the last 4 hard court slams. He’s nearly unbeatable on that surface. At 35 he just made the #6 player in the world look like a qualifier. Best hard court player ever 2nd best clay court player ever 2nd best grass player ever, and he still might end up surpassing Federer here.
He is making pretty quick work of the field in Melbourne. What has become sort of a tradition for me is to place a bet on Tsitsipas to win a major as I think he is at the top of new era guys along with Alcaraz and Medvedev and due to run into win. So here's hoping this is the one as it looks like we are heading to a Djokovic/Tsitsipas final.
Definitely has a chance. He played his best tennis in the semi final. Also Novak has the hamstring issue.
35 and injured. Dropped 1 set the entire tournament. I can understand why someone would hate the man, but gotta respect the artist. M If it weren’t for Covid and his stupid ejection from the Us open he’d have a 2+ lead on Nadal. And he will likely still get there because he isn’t slowing down. The GOAT debate is over. And honestly has been for 2 years.
