What? Did you not understand them? They say he produces more wins than the average player in the playoffs, while generally playing against the opposing team's best player. How is that being a no-show?

Ok, stats aside, Kobe Bryant said without hesitation that he is the best defender in the NBA (and that was in a situation after the playoffs when had nothing to gain from it). What do you have to say about that?

I'll be more non-PC while remaining PC, though you just said it. We can all see it on this board -

Its Battier aint "one of my dawgs", he's a simp. Though the "anglo-saxon" fans seem to pour ridiculous amounts of praises and respect into appearing cerebral and well mannered.. Causing non-anglos to have resentment toward the player and the fans who "done lost their minds" cuz they value a player they can relate to finally.

Also with that is the certain faction of "non anglo" posters who think that all the anglos are way too emotional and impulsive about EVERYTHING cuz they think people gotta be "perfect" or something.... But the non-anglos "keep it REAL". "Truth hurts". Like clockwork, non-anglos seem to respond the most with "I dont see what the big deal is". "Stop overreacting", etc etc. Those kinda posters upset me the most actually, MORE than the Battier bashers. Since I myself don't really like Battier's p***y offense

But then still the ango-saxon fans give reason for the non-anglos to keep with their approach. After seeing nothing but praises of "High IQ", "good character", "efficient", "hustle player". Come on, we know thats "anglo- saxon ball" all the way :p

(alright, rant done. Though still none of this will affect The Teflon Don)

in order to trade a player u have to get the other team to also agree to the deal .. and they clearly wanted ariza .. do u really think hornets said .. hey rockets give us either battier or ariza we dont care .. and the rockets said ..ok we will give u ariza? im sure its easy to sell a young player to chris paul then and older vet like battier ..

I don't know what it says other than he forgot the 38% he shot against detroit in the finals and the 40% he shot vs boston the first time. Against the rockets, he shot 46% and pretty much got his averages across the board.

LOL, this thread may be one of the first times I've seen the race card played against minorities, and all to defend Scrub Battier's pathetic production.

News flash: 11 PER is still 11 PER. I hate him because he sucks, race has nothing to do with it. He's a bottom 1/3 starting SF who we can't seem to get rid of.

I am pretty sure the race card was being played against minorities during slavery, Jim Crow, the Holocaust, etc. It was played against the majority during the Apartheid. Surpised that you are not aware of such things previously.

Anyhow, take your shots at him. The Teflon Don is still standing after all these years and the Rockets just traded for a guy they describe as the new Teflon Don. Seems unless you people find a way to replace the front office, you'll have to endure more Teflon Don for years to come. Enjoy!

I'm may be in denial, but least I get the pleasure of watching Batman 30 minutes a night as the starting sf for the 2010-11 Houston rockets!

    Scoreboard !

I think the Batman gets less minutes though, Around 28 to keep him fresher for the playoff run with Yao.

It always sounds stupid to me when people bring up race (or bi-race?) while discussing the NBA.

Please leave that garbage in the D&D.

You seem to be confusing the race card with racism. Hope this helps.
