I am 100% with Ron on this one. He did the right thing. And Ron was actually smart. Like Sam and Ron himself said, he knew he was going to get the technical. The rejection part? That's solely on stupidity of referees. Ron didn't do anything physical to warrant a rejection. You have to stand up for yourself in a game like this. And by standing up to himself, Ron actually brought Kobe's dirty play into the limelight. The League can in no way do anything additional on Ron, because if you re-access Ron's, you would have to do something to Kobe also. That's the smart part. Ron didn't get Kobe get away, and I've loving it.
Sager was really trying to get Artest to say something stupid, but he didn't... 'does this warrant retaliation in game 3?' 'do you think game three will be even more physical?' Artest handled it well.
Even the crybaby Lakers radio announcers wetted their panties fearing Kobe and Fisher would be suspended Game 3 upon review. They event cried for certain refs by name to officiate Game 3. What a bunch of p*****s.
Ron Artest being interviewed: "Doesn't [Kobe] know who he's messing with? I'm Ron Artest!" (Laughter)
what i think is... Fisher suspended artest nothing kobe nothing if artest somehow gets suspended for ....for what....for being ejected after getting 1 T foul?? for yapping at kobe? no punches were thrown or ne thing... if artest gets suspended...kobe needs to jailed for taunting and fisher needs to be shot-executed
Yup, props to Ron for not taking that crap. You have to stand up for yourself and your team. Barkley was absolutely right.
I wish he would have Kermit Washington'd him. Seriously. Ron is smarter than that, though. I hope we can re-up Artest as soon as possible. The guy has been nothing but a class-act here in Houston, and it's a shame what happened a few years ago in Detroit. I tip my hat to Ron Artest for bringing Kobe's dirty play into the spotlight. Even if it took him getting ejected, which is pretty bogus, I applaud Artest. I would have a guy like him on my team any day of the week.
I'm so glad that Ron stood up for himself. The refs are blind. They called a foul on Ron there. How could that have been a foul Ron? That's just wrong, and Ron was justified in standing up for himself.
Nice interview by Ron. Calm and he wasn't letting it get to him. Up to the 3rd quarter that was probably the best 3 quarters I've seen Ron play for Houston. Looking forward to Ron kicking their butts next game.
By Artest right? I wouldn't want my less stable guys talking to Sager after watching that... he was really digging for some bulletin borard material.
