similar order to mine, but its jazz for so many reasons.. then the mavs...we just can't seem to beat them then the lakers.. who doesn't hate them and lastly the spurs... tired of Greg popavich and his mug.
if you don't answer Jazz, Fakers, or Mavs you are not a Rockets fan. For me, it's the Jazz. All those years watching Horny, Malone, and Stockton play dirty, all those close games, the fan base, Salt Lake City as a whole ...I freaking hate the Jazz. Do they even allow the playing of jazz music in Utah? The Fakers are #2 for me. We always play them tough, and they always seem to find a way to win. I am jealous of their roster and the prestige that comes along with their market. I have nothing against their players or coach, but they are the yankees of the NBA and it's hard not to hate them for it. a close #3 for me is the Mavs. I almost hate them as much as the Fakers except they have never been champions, and its hard to hate a team you feel a little sorry for. None-the-less, the in-state rivalry cannot be ignored.
if we are going to say historically the list needs to have the Sonics on it. God I hated those sonic teams as much as the Jazz teams, maybe more just because we could never beat those teams with their illegal defenses in the playoffs. I mean we traded away Horry and Cassell just to beat those Sonics teams. historically speaking i go 1a & 1b) Sonics and Jazz 2) Dallas 3) Lakers 4) Portland
It's sad though that the Sonics are gone. I don't even think of the Thunder as them, because Oklahoma City and Kevin Durant is so far away from Gary Payton and Seattle
Great post; I agree with all of your reasoning above, except that for some reason I hate the Mavs just a little bit more. I think it's because when we play them in Dallas, it honestly feels like at least some of the refs are cowed by Mark Cuban and don't call fouls on the Mavs that they're quick to call on us. For that VERY frustrating reason alone, I hate the Mavericks first (plus there's the whole the city of Dallas looks down it's nose at Houston, including their sports franchises). Really good points on why so many people (myself included) don't like the Lakers. I myself am pulling for the Clips to give them a black eye, but maybe that's just sour grapes on my part? :grin: I'm trying not to hate the Heat, because I am interested in the experiment going on there, and am not completely sure where I myself stand on player's rights to join a given team that they wish to join. I suspect though, I'd feel differently if they were in our conference.....
There are a few Rocket fans who make excuses for the goons/cheaters of the Jazz led by Sloan,Karl Malone,Stockton plus their respective whiners and floppers under the guise of fundamental basketball. The Jazz will always be number 1 in this category. That doesn't mean that I want any bad thing to happen to anyone.

Historically it's the Jazz. Recently it is the Mavs by a slight edge. As long as that douche of a ballplayer Dirk is leading the Mavs, I will despise them. The Jazz went down a notch when they lost Boozer and Harpring. I don't like Kobe but I respect the work he puts into his game, and I like Ron. It's more of a hate of the hype-machine that is associated with the Lakers.

I hate the Jazz and Lakers, but tops has to be: Listening to Mavs fan go on and on about how our 2 titles don't count cuz MJ wasn't there, but then claim their 1 NONTITLE, should count as a title, gets a little idiotic.
