Why? He is a perfect fit for Harden's game. Bring the ball up, hand it to Harden, stand around the corner, nail the 3 pointer. We are talking about championship here. No kidding.
Arrr. Are we one of those ESPN guys who sway by whichever way wind blew. Bev is good PG,but I don't think he has a starter level. Sometime he is hot, and sometime not. But glad to have him though.
It is particularly hilarious how some people think any pg who can shoot the 3 automatically is a better fit than Lin regardless of they can finish off the dribble or not.
He has one good 4th quarter... He works hard and seems to have a good IQ. He could be a good backup PG or eventually a starter. However, he is not there yet. It wasn't too long ago that people were mad at playing Beverly over Douglas.
I don't think anybody was. Beverley is basically a rich man's Douglas. Same harassing D, except his time it produces results. And a better 3 pt shot, who knew?
There's something wonderfully ironic about Lin fans dismissing Beverley's performance, citing the small sample size.
But if Lin was not being held back by McHale then he would have reproduced Linsanity numbers for the whole season, see San Antonio game, also Tyson Chandler, something about inexcusable, and salt and vinegar chips.
Except for the excellent defense comment...everything else you said is spot on, which is why i hope lin is traded after this season if pbs minutes continue to increase.
yeah probably over rating his d a little, as he gambles so much and tends to get steals on man to man...
I am actually pretty stoked about PBev. A core starting line up of Lin, Harden, Asik, Dmo and Parsons backed up by Bev. Thats a good start for Morey to start adding in the 7th, 8th and 9th men in the rotation for our championship winning team next year. XD (This of course assumes Delfino is not in the long term plans and the pessimistic view that TRob does not work out)
