He's a good spot up shooter and good defender. Does almost nothing else well. Is ideal for this system though next to Harden.
I agree, some bonehead plays but wow dude is really good. oops jinx gotta go grab a lamb for some antijinx voodoo now
Very good rebounder for his position, and leads the team in Pure Point Rating and Assist-to-Turnover ratio.
The guy is a crazy gambler on defense. It worked out in our favor tonight, but don't count on it working every game. The floaters he was hitting tonight were beautiful though.
well even though he doesn't start he gets a lot of minutes. Lin always get subbed out in the first quarter at 5-6 min mark until the 2nd quarter 6-8 min mark depending on how good bev plays during that time. Then lin gets subbed out at around the 4-5 min mark of the 3rd quarter and bev takes over for the duration of the game if he's not. Saw it with Douglas, Seeing it with Beverly.
yea i remember him playing this well before.............in charlotte forever ago and i havent heard a peep since from the keen observers.
Yeah. This was a dimension of his game I didn't not realize existed. What he did down the stretch tonight is what I had envisioned Lin be doing for us consistently. Someone who punish a defense for overcommiting to Harden by getting into the paint.
Patrick Bev is the real deal, its hard to find point guards like this these days. Signing A-Brooks prob was not the best decision, we need to expand Beverleys mins!
Another great Morey find! After a few games ... I think the coaching staff were sold on him. Anybody who says Lin should've played the 4Q clearly didn't see Beverley had a big impact throughout the 4th quarter. Played very well defensively and offensively, and great energy. Having said that, I hope McHale doesn't extrapolate this too much. I think many of McHale's mistakes last year and this year was to extrapolate a good performance/result from one of his experiments and take it too far. Small ball, playing TD for extended minutes and thinking he was a defensive stud because he waved his hands a lot and got a steal here and there.
