in defense of accounting and accountants... accounting today is NOT your typical bean counting, coke bottle lense geek/dork... it's about integrating and communicating your knowledge of the overall business cycle, working with multiple departments, and using the numbers to determine what your able to do with the companies finances, ect... you don't number crunch...all the programs do it for you now (peoplesoft, greatplains, sap, ect)... my fellow accountants in my dept. aren't dorks. Don't mistake working hard for being a dork... we work hard, party harder.
Good. So now will everyone (at least at UT) quit being bio majors so that there will be a demand for me again? Dammit I need a job.
