    You forget.

If something is conservative, it is true red blooded 'Merican.

Therefore anything conservative cannot be partisan.

Partisan is when 50 times as many people protest a war.

I think if you ask most of the crazy's who go there if they really wanted McCain vs. Ron Paul or something McCain would lose by about 95%.

Plus the GOP represents some new religious, moral etc issues that has little to do with the fiscal meaning in this meeting.

Just the common rising up on his own volition to condemn the current state of affairs. Or not...
Freedom Works? They are a Republican "grassroots" organization that builds their email database to also shill insurance to the converted. Guess who it is run by? Dick Armey. Guess who also is involved? Jack Kemp and C. Boyden Gray.

Americans for Prosperity? They are "committed to educating citizens about economic policy and a return of the federal government to its Constitutional limits." How do they do this? By running a "Hot Air" campaign that buys in to global warming deniers. They are rabidly anti-tax and try to intimidate Republican officals at the state level into pledging to never raise taxes under any circumstances. Who was their first president? Nancy Pfotenhauer, the McCain campaign's spokesperson... and it's now run by a partner of Ralph Reed, that everyman's hero. Where do they get their money? From a bunch of Conservative foundations, including groups that routinely fund Heritage, AEI, Kirkpatrick, Bennett, and Bork.

These are just folks trying to help other just folks out. There's no intention to use the rubes to further a twisted, discredited agenda and tear down the current administration.

    Also...
    Teabaggers are suckers.

    Oh man....

I think my mom is going to the one here in Houston. Ye effing gods.

She also just recently put a "say no to socialism" bumper sticker on the back of her car...

Sometimes the ignorance is painful to behold.

    So you're saying it's non-partisan, right?

Wow, that's a comment we've never heard before. I think you just brilliantly proved his point.

The tea parties are hilarious. Most of the participants are all receiving TAX BREAKS from Obama. Most of the organizers want to keep their hands on more of their hundreds of thousands to millions they make each year. Yet the tea party stands against greed?

The whole thing is a farce.

And symbolic of what the Republican Party has become.

Republicans... take back your party. Really. You are currently run by a bunch of insane egoists who originally put group and personal advancement over the good of the country but now are so bound by ideology and the gimmicks of the past that they can't distinguish what's just crazy and what is in their own interest. Teabagging is enabling, not changing.

There's a certain silliness to the Tea Parties but I'm surprised at the scorn they are arousing. The Tea Parties are nothing more than political street theater which liberals do quite a bit too.

so true. of course, don't you know only they can protest.

yeah. wanting better representation is so selfish.

I blame their selfish ways for everything. Put them on trains and send them to camps so we can build a strong, unified and better country. One where we all work towards the same goal...Herr Rimrocker

Who is saying they shouldn't be allowed to protest? I have yet to see anyone make the claim. Just because their protests make no sense, doesn't mean they can't have them.

I don't find them funny, I find them dangerous. And there are dangerous groups getting involved in this taking the opportunity to pass on their hatred. sort of like when sarah palin turned up the terrorist rhetoric.

    Do you have any examples?

I don't recall too many fake grass roots movements from the left launched by MSNBC. I see a difference in kind between the antiwar protests initiated by moveon.org and these goofy tea parties.

Wow, when you have to bring up rimrocker's past in proclaiming the glories of National Socialism(and make no mistake, rimrocker cannot hide his past as a card-carrying member of Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei) as a preemptive measure, it is a sure sign that you are going to get brutalized by facts and are resorting to prophylactic devices.

As has been pointed out several times in this thread - no one here has made any statements of that caliber.

I seriously have no idea what on earth you are talking about.

I saw a lot of goofiness at the protests against the RNC such as the Missile dick chicks, Code Pink with women wearing pink slip lingerie, as in give Bush a pink slip, The Bush and McCain Bomb bomb bomb Iran dancers. True MSNBC, to the best of my knowledge, didn't organize them but groups like Moveon.org and ACORN have organized protests and encouraged people to come up with creative ways to protest including "Bake Back the Whitehouse" Barack Bake O'Rama.
