I will cease to pursue this tangent in the interest of the topic at hand, noting that you were dead wrong at every turn despite your poor attempts to weasel out of your original claims.
Interesting, because the actual people behind the organizing the Tea Parties are conservatives. From the official tea party website: http://taxdayteaparty.com/about/ The Tax Day Tea Party is a national collaborative grassroots effort organized by Smart Girl Politics, Top Conservatives on Twitter, the DontGo Movement and many other online groups/coalitions. Note that all of those groups are conservative groups and each of the 13 websites advertised on the site are conservative groups. Hmmm.
It's all in how you define and then subsequently perceive, nay deceive, with words like non-partisan. You just keep on believing, thumbs. After the last eight years, many of us in here know just how you must feel. Sort of.
I have a feeling many conservatives did not vote for McCain which would make them not of the GOP, and thus non-partisan. Are you seriously saying the GOP is fiscally conservative?
Wow, when you make a hallucinogen your disciple, you truly have mind-bending power. Sam, my hearty congrats. I would settle for lowly dextromethorphan hydrobromide as a sidekick.
There already was one in Houston. There were like 30-40 people there. The geniuses involved were protesting tax spending at Discovery Green, which just so happens to be taxpayer funded. Pretty funny stuff.
McCain is not a conservative, the GOP is not fiscally conservative. Many people are fiscally conservative and socially liberal.
the point is they are partisan for republicans, conservatives, etc, if you want to argue about who "real" conservatives are that's another topic.
A question to Thumbs. Since these tea parties are non-partisan if I show up in a Mao suit holding a sign saying Capitalism has failed us and that the answer is Marxism will I be welcome?
Not sure the relevance. The tea parties parties are organized by people who call themselves conservatives, supported McCain, and basically exclusively support the GOP. What part of that sounds non-partisan to you?
