Someone at MTV was in on it as well from the way they were bragging about it in their news articles. I demand an inquiry. On my way home from watching the superbowl I saw 2 guys pulled over on the side of I-10 fighting between their trucks. I don't know if it was an accident or not but they were dukeing it out right there.
Don't you know the MTV producers were thinking " We just have to come with something to top Madonna and Britney's kiss... but what?" Smegg, sure it's just a tit and sure the the little red bikini bottoms and sadomasochistic bondage suits are just provacative costumes, But dude, this show should be the best and brightest America has to offer to a billion people. You have to tailor any presentation to the audience. Sometimes it's fun and appropriate to shock them and sometimes it isn't. It's like the difference of what use might show at a bachelor party compared with the rehersal dinner. At one you know the looser sensibilites of the crowd and at the other you have your preacher and your future wife's grandmother. Are you going to show them even simulated S&M and t*tties? If you do you will probably be looked on unfavorably I just can't believe that the MTV people thought there show was appropriate for the venue.

And because of that, there's no need for the kids to go extreme (rebel) with it. Sexual repression will cause the extremeness we see in America. Many conservatives think that this will lead to decadence. Sorry, decadence will result in a free society (or not free) that tries to repress them! Kids will do what they are told NOT to do. That's natural. A teenager getting beer at 17 is fun and exciting. Getting beer at 21 is not as exciting because they are doing something that they ARE allowed to do. Ever seen a group of 30'ish women in America talking about sex on TV? They act like giggling teenagers...sigh....now why is that?
