    Wo wo wo, chirs, don't let optmism get into your head in predictions. I am trying to make the prediction as objective as possible. If I were an optmist in analysis, I would predict the Rockets win all of the games left. Of course the Rockets can do better than this, and Suns might end up to be even worse. However, it could very well be the other way around.

    All I am trying to do here is to give the fairest prediction that I can come up with, and show why the playoff spot is ours and there is no need to panic when we are are pushed off the spot temporarily by the Suns.

    Final record: 35-31 + 7-9 = 42-40

    Now, if everything goes right, we will be two games ahead of the Suns in the end. We have the tie breaker, so that means the Rockets have to lose three more games than that prediction, and the Suns have to win three more. That's plenty of games for us to screw up. Therefore, I'd say the playoff berth is 70% ours.

    RocketFan85, we will see who gets the more correct prediction by the end of the season.

    All we need to do is go 10-6 to make the playoffs.

    What we should be doing is try to catch the Jazz, who play us once and Phoenix once. They also have the wost schedule in the entire leage following this 5-game homestand. They play Sacramento, San Antonio twice, Lakers, Phoenix, Houston, Dallas...They play all the tough teams. Including #1 and #2 in the East, Detroit and Indiana.

    OK, what do I see on the board now? Oh, did I hear the word "panic"? GUYS, stop panicing. We lost to Portland, and we are still on schedule. The Suns are supposed to win the game against Utah, but they lost. The Suns are behind schedule. Therefore, believe or not, THINGS ARE LOOKING VERY GOOD! Relax.

    :eek: I amazed myself for predicting all the Rockets games right so-far. :eek: Well, I don't know if anyone cares, but I am amazed by myself. :D I hope all my prediction are going right, so the Rockets will indeed beat the Suns by three games at the end of the playoff race.:D

    His predictions on the Suns are off a bit but they have the exact same record. Just substitute that Seattle home loss with the Detroit road win.

    Interesting, you have the Rockets going 6-2 in their last eight games starting tomorrow with the Bucks game and have the Suns going 2-6 in their last 8 games. I would like to belived that....but I have a feeling that we will lose a few more than what you predicted and the Suns will win a few more than what you predicted. It will be close. I hope you are right though! :)

    The Rockets better either beat the Bucks or 76er's (or both) in the next 2 games. Going 0-3 in the 3 game road trip this late in the year and fighting for a playoff spot is inexcusable!
