wait a second...YoYao is banned??? i, for one, am not fomfotable with that decision at all!!! the guy is an endless source of entertainment, whether he's real or made up.
Like I said earlier, I thought the Photoshop stuff was great. It has kept me entertained for hours here at work. It seems the general concensus around here is that we want YoYao back. I think we are owed some sort of explanation.
I'm sorry I was so vague. For the thick members of the group: Attention whoring, like the kind YoYao has thrust upon the BBS all summer long, is frowned upon. I'm sorry for derailing a feedback thread by answering a question. Why would an admin answer feedback when a dense user is going to whine about how it's answered?
Because this dense user wasnt asking about why YoYao was on probation or banned, he was asking about the photoshop posts. I wanted to continue doing them (with or without the attention w****) and I wanted to clear it with the admins so I didnt get banned for doingsomething we didnt know was taboo. Asking for a clear answer doesnt seem like whining to me, but who am I to say?
So, what's the consensus here? Did we get played by YoYao? Was it all just an act? Is he really Keyser Soze? "The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist." I agree that the YoYao stuff got old after 5 minutes, but he was still good for a few laughs (uh.... WITH him, not AT him). We don't care about photoshopping. Feeding an attention w**** like YoYao time and again be it by Photoshop or any other means isn't looked upon kindly by me. I don't know how the other admins feel but I am not waiting for anybody's approval to shut down tired bs like constant YoYao threads.
It's hard to argue that YoYao was sometimes prone to "attention whoring". But I think it was all good natured on his part. And it's not like the guy was a "troll" or anything. Clearly he was here for the long haul. He will be missed. But rest assured, there are plenty of YoYao pics on plenty of hard drives so I don't think the photochop's will ever die. EDIT: OK, there was a lot of attention whoring on his part. He probably should have "picked his spots" more instead of actually starting so many threads. Maybe in retrospect, starting his own "chop thread" wasn't such a good idea...
So was YoYao banned by keeley or by Clutch, or by both in consensus? Also...aren't we all attention whores to a certain extent by posting here?

One thing to think about is this: Do we want people to come to this BBS to read about the Rockets or do we want them to come to this BBS to read about the antics of one poster in YoYao?
Thats why we dont post YoYao antics in GARM.. If you want Rockets info(what little there is these days), thats the place to see it. Hangout isnt Rockets specific...it is the place for entertainment and other stuff..as you well know.
To his credit, YY didn't post in the GARM much if ever. I never saw any of this nonsense leak to the GARM. Besides, we all know the Hangout is for more serious discussion....like hot chicks, itching nuts, and farting in the office.
I think probabtion is a good idea but banning seems a little harsh, I mean other forums are flooded with attention mongers and thats why they suck and this one is good, but YoYao probably was one of the denser users who just didn't understand.
i agree. even before the very first "am i hot" thread came about, it was a new random thread about hooking up with chicks or "do you drink milk?." the guy was desperate, and then once he became a celebrity, he fed on it. the problem was no one kept him in check from the beginning. people thought he was cute with his improper English and his constant talk of sex. i once told him that he was the reason the search and edit function were down. what do i know, i'm a jack@ss!
