Congrats Drew. Fatherhood is the coolest thing in the world as long as you are ready for it and it seems that you are. Remember that you have to keep and open mind because all kids are different.

The coolest thing is that 99 percent of the time, when the baby comes out, it will look just like the Daddy. I don't know why but wife said its so the father doesn't eat their young. :D

Congrats, drew. (Well, you know, for the good stuff)

Kinda sounds like a dream job. I remember your thread on how ****ty job hunting is. What kind of background did you have to have for that? (edu, exp.) Any tips on where to look for positions like that?

First of all I just want to give a big thanks to everyone for you kind words, encouragement, and congratulations - its all good stuff - and I truly appreciate it!!!

Rokkit - Man its been a long journey. Started off in sales, did account management for 2 years, did sales again but also contributed to some advertising and marketing efforts that were good resume fillers. Got a job doing Internet sales and marketing for Lennar Homes which was an even better resume filler. It all added up to my new job which is Database Marketing Manager. I had to endure 4 months of grueling unemployment, but was picky about who I interviewed with. I didnt want to be a Marketing Coordinator for a homebuilder, and I sure as hell didnt want to do sales. A recruiter called me about this gig, because I had my resume posted all over the place - alas I am where I am because of the guy who found me.

My recommendation would be to schmooze your resume up as much as possible - get someone to write it for you if you have to. Join networks like linkedin.com and such and get co-workers and bosses to write good **** about you, post your resume on all the job boards and make changes every day so it stays on the top of their lists. And most importantly is get on indeed.com. Let me say that again....

My absolute best resource that I recommend to anyone is out there job hunting:

    Indeed

this place is the freaking google of job boards - Its AMAZING!!!
    :)

Drew man thanks for the info. I will definitely look into it. And hey, let us know if your company has any more openings... ;)

Seriously though, I appreciate it. I get married in about a week's time and I've had a lot of family issues come up the last few months. So while I haven't gone through as much as you have, I understand completely what you mean about so much going on you don't know how you don't go crazy...
