Ah. I understand the animosity now. I forgot that RM95 was a movie critic. So, you took his statement (and I guess mine, too) as fact. Gotcha. Once again, that was never my intention. I provided the ratings just to show everyone what the critics thought were good movies this summer (since everyone rated the movies in the thread). If I wanted to back up my opinion of "best summer movie," I would have written it below the data with an explanation. I didn't. The ratings were tacked on for fun (so I wouldn't derail the thread -- like I'm doing now). I'm tired of arguing. To each their own, I say. If you thought Mr. Deeds was the best movie of the summer, so be it...
Why would you take what anyone says about anything art as fact? It's nothing more than opinion. Am I not allowed to post my opinion in threads like this without sounding pretentious? The only fact is that I thought About a Boy was the best movie of the summer.
