As soon as Trump dies off, the party will reset but it will be awhile before they win anything.

Listening to Republican leaders today I guess I shouldn't be but I am shocked by the amount of irresponsibility by many of them. We saw on Jan. 6th that there are many who will commit violence in the name of Trump. Who will attack police officers and others. For people like Marco Rubio who right after Jan. 6th blamed Trump to now be defending him by comparing the US to Communist Cuba is very irresponsible. I suspect he knows this but doesn't care because party and his political future in more important than respect for the Constitution or the stability of his country.

I am saying that the only reason that Republicans are on their knees at the spigot of Trump is because they don't want to lose the MAGA base of morons.

They know that once they lose that, they won't win any election - so they embrace it even though they know better, but once Trump dies - there is no one to step up and lead that group like he did....you cut the head of the snake off and the snake withers and dies.....that will happen to MAGA and at that point the GOP will need to rebuild their credibility, find an actual platform that works or is popular and reset - and they will do so while losing the MAGA base which probably splits off into some of it's own....ANGER PARTY -.......

So the GOP will struggle to win many elections until they embrace HONESTY, TRUTH, and get back to true conservative thinking.

Right now, they are a party of racism, grift, lies, and theft.....how proud Lincoln must be.

    DD

PS. I don't know who wins this election, I am hoping that Trump is found unable to run, and that Biden steps down.....but I doubt either of those things happens.....I do think the convictions hurt Trump with a % of people......just don't know if that is the 5% that has been reported or not.

Attack Trump verdict or be exiled - a new test for Republicans

Larry Hogan, a moderate Republican who is running for an open Senate seat in liberal-leaning Maryland, took to social media to urge all Americans to “respect the verdict and the legal process”.

Within minutes, Chris LaCivita, a top official on Trump’s campaign, posted a crystal-clear reply to Mr Hogan: “You just ended your campaign.” The implication: if you’re not with us on this, you’re politically dead.

You can't make this stuff up.

Marjorie Taylor Greene warns Trump against hiring far-right activist Laura Loomer, calling her 'mentally unstable and a documented liar'

Greene took to Twitter on Friday to say Loomer is "mentally unstable and a documented liar" who "can not be trusted."
(Sounds just like Trump to me )

"Never hire or do business with a liar. Liars are toxic and poisonous to everything they touch. I'll make sure he knows," Greene said about Loomer.
(Again, sounds just like Trump to me.)

Loomer responded with multiple tweets attacking Greene, calling her a liar and describing her behavior as "not very "Christian."
(Again, sounds just like Trump to me.)

Listening to Tom Cotton he’s giving the same response that many Republicans do when asked about if they would accept the results of the next election but he did give a difference. He said that he doesn’t believe Congress has the power to reject certified electors from the states.

I really hope the maga trump voters reject Larry Hogan. Hogan represents their best chance to win that senate seat and gain a majority in the senate. But trump and his daughter-in-law only care about themselves.
