OMG! That is disgusting. I'd walk out of that church in a split second hearing that. I guess he would also believe any woman on a beach wearing a bathing suit is just asking to be raped, and those rapists are just men being men. Wow!

It sure is, and has been changed a number of times. Changing it when they rule a way you don't like and adding justices until you get your way is clearly a perversion of that, as pretty much everyone recognizes. At that point, why even have a court, whoever is president can just add more justices until he gets his way.
    No one has said otherwise.
That they are performing their duties as mandated doesn't make them right. I can read. The Constitution is written in English. That is all that is required to know that there are no provisions in the Constitution that would make regulation of people growing food for their own consumption something that Congress has the authority to regulate. Just like anyone could read the Constitution and know that it doesn't say anything about there being a right to abortion. Even the opinion in Griswald that made up a generalized right to privacy knew that it wasn't in the text. That's why they said they found it in the penumbras of various amendments.
There is a way to change the Constitution. It is in fact written right in the Constitution and has been done more than two dozen times. People don't want to do that anymore, because it is so much easier to just ignore the Constitution and do whatever you want and dare anyone to try to stop you.

Again you are free to disagree but as you acknowledge they and FDR was acting within the Constitutional framework and the body thst the founders empowered to interpret the Constitution agrees.

The beauty of all of this is as long as we have our system you’re free to express your opinion, lobby for change and even run for office. If you can get enough to agree with you might succeed.

That is the collective process that we’ve agreed to.

It’s not even the quiet part anymore. Not a single Republican will denounce this or the many similar open anti Democracy battle cry’s coming this year.

And Basso called me hyperbolic for saying that 2024 could move us away from being a Democracy…. Yeah.

How often do these meetings occur? I swear it feels like a CPAC happens at least every couple months.

Is it a perversion when the Senate Majority Leader prevents a sitting president's SCOTUS nominee from going up for a vote?

It would be hilarious if not so sad how everything they accuse the left of is exactly what they are doing. EX: claiming that there was information planted in the DOJ and FBI during the Obama years that would carry over in the Trump presidency reg Russian collusion.

Turns out it is exactly what the Trump administration tried to do against Biden. Part of those actions got Trump impeached, but Republicans let him off the hook in a way that enabled Trump to do it even harder knowing that he can get away with it.

Republicans can no longer win at democracy because they’ve proven they can’t govern, so now they want to overthrow the government.

If these MAGA types hate Democracy so much they should just get the hell out of our country. We'd be better off anyway without them spewing their poison.
