Three years ago (almost) my wife and I rode-tripped from Houston to Arizona. I remember Kari Lake because the local FOX affiliate was the only news we could get. I do remember thinking, "Local FOX news will still have something of a lean to the right but this woman---" That was when Bob Woodward released videotapes of Trump downplaying the virus; when mentioning the recordings (they weren't played, of course), Lake said, "Bob Woodward claims that President Trump said such-and-so." That kind of thing. Knowing the average 70-year-old white voter wasn't about to go listen to a network playing the actual recordings. Never imagined we'd be here, with Kari Lake still aiming to be Trump's VP and saying absolutely anything.
