You should see the way my 300 lb+, Trump flags on the truck, redneck neighbor screams at his wife and kid in their front yard.

Actually he’s just her boyfriend and living in her house with her son.

Perfect example of an Alpha Male conservative.

The Nation of Islam had problems and they killed Malcolm X. However it was also incredibly empowering for some black men and their families… I know some long term Nation of Islam members in their 60’s now… 4-5 families…. and I have to say that they are really impressive. The men all are incredibly disciplined, family oriented and excellent role models. They have all been married for decades, they are really good with their money and their kids all are very respectful.

Yeah when the split happened it was a big big deal. What the Nation of Islam originally believed in arguably wasn’t even Islam, it would be considered blasphemy. It was however a religion created by black men and for black men primarily.

Now a lot of former Nation of Islam members are not religious at all. They will hand down Islamic names but they really are close to having no religion. Some did become Christian and some became mainstream Muslims.

The Nation of Islam now is not nearly as powerful or influential as it used to be. The extreme racism could play in the 50-90’s but by 2000 or so the Democratic Party cut the Nation of Islam. Farrakhan really did a disservice to the faith. In order for the faith to spread successfully at it did in the 1950’s and 1960’s, the emphasis needed to be empowering and educating young black men and women that were good people that were trapped in poverty of violence… they stopped doing that and attempted to act like more traditional religions. Farrakhan also silenced other charismatic young leaders in the movement and began to target older men.

If you go read the beginnings and theological beliefs of the faith it is very unimpressive… but the sense of community and personal responsibility and self awareness they taught was nothing short of amazing.

    1. the lack of self-awareness is astounding…it is republicans sending death threats and who want to kill all the “others”

    2. Will people in the republican party every get tired of being fear mongered? Every day, it is a new thing to be afraid of…a new thing that’s out to get them…such a sad life

Remember how MAGA has been clogging up the VA suicide hotline with calls of freeing Jan 6 defendants? Imagine someone needing help and can’t get through because the trash is holding up all the lines

it’s also sad that he turned down an ambulance because the ride alone is often too much for many people to afford

I am so sick of the GOP. They spit on the Vets, the homeless, the mentally ill, and everyone else needing help. They blame the Democratic mayors in the biggest cities in the country for crime, yet do absolutely NOTHING to address the issues that lead the criminals to shooting and looting. They feed them guns like candy then send heartfelt fake prayers after people are slaughtered. Disgusting human beings.

It's not just gangs coming across the border you lying pigs. It's people growing up here in America in poverty, with no healthcare, no mental help, not enough social services, and living in a home with gun toting parents often filled with anger issues, drug problems, hate, and rage. It's kids being fueled by propaganda, hate, and lies. It's kids being bullied, molested, neglected, and physically and mentally abused. It's kids with easy access to guns. It's the sick, the violent, the abusers, and the hate groups. It's good old Americans not living the American Dream.

That **** is rough. We still live in a hyper macho culture where both sexes emphasize it's most ideal traits..."grit", "execution", "courage through action".

Too much macho-ness is considered Toxic, but there's not much empathy given for men to...empathize.

    Too Soy. Too Beta.

It's a sad double standard for a sex not known to vocalize their troubles, so more attention is then heaped on red pill boys who rebel against it.

We talk about mental illness being a problem when it comes to gun violence (suicide for inward frustration, mass casualties for outward).

This is a big contributor to it. Being overwhelmed by societies challenges and demands without having the support to positively cope and deal with it.

To add another thought to this we often here how much the Right prizes masculinity and will decry the feminization of our culture or things that challenge traditional gender norms.

The very shallow view that they embrace though if masculinity as being about toughness and being related to things like combat and fighting though ignores that men can be also be nurturing and as part of the idea of men being both provider and protector is more about just physical fighting but also understand and empathy for the struggles of others.

I mentioned about my Sensei who recently passed away that at the ceremony for him there were many grizzled and tough judoka who were wiping back tears. For many men who had spent much of their life fighting they were open about their grief and also willing to share it. That is as much a part of masculinity as the part where we try, throw, choke out or break the arms of our opponents.

MAGA nominee for MI Governor Tudor Dixon says the bond that rape victims will have with their babies will help them heal.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott says the new abortion ban doesn’t need a rape exception because he’s going to eliminate rape. We all know that's the biggest load of BS ever. That will NEVER happen,.

When asked if the Republican’s bill will force a teenager to have her rapist’s baby, Rep. Jean Schmidt said, “It is a shame that it happens, but there’s an opportunity for that woman, no matter how young or old she is, to make a determination about what she’s going to do to help that life be a productive human being."

It's obvious that Republicans don't care about teenage rape victims in this country.

U hear crickets from the Republicans when they get money from the government in the form of natural disaster relief. U can give them as much as they want and u won't hear these hypocrites btch. But when it's other states or other groups that want relief, it's too much on the tax payers. Too much pork when the other states needed help Ricky Rubio claims as he ask for more money to his state
