You are misusing the word standard as it applies in law. It doesn't change the standard applied. It changes what you can do when the standard is met. The standard is someone is using deadly force against you. That standard doesn't change. The change is that you are not limited to using force back against them, but instead are empowered to drive away and protected from liability for injuries caused by doing so.
No. If the other people were party A, there would be no need to change the law.
If the person in the car is not allowed to touch them with the car and the crowd is not actively trying to hold them for an attacker? Absolutely. Have one person stand five inches from your front bumper and one person stand five inches from your rear bumper, then drive away without hitting either of them. It is impossible. Then have someone stand five inches in front of you and one five inches behind you when you are on foot and try to leave without knocking them over. Incredibly easy. People do it all the time on mass transit or crowded elevators.
These are the first three I saw off a search. There was a meta analysis that talked about 39 incidents, but it had intentional attacks mixed in.
Driver charged with hitting protester was delivering food, brother says | Local News | buffalonews.com
Driver charged after allegedly hitting Memphis protester with car (msn.com)
Police: North Carolina man charged after hitting protester with car in Johnson City (msn.com)

I already told you the relevant laws. There is no specific law making that particular activity criminal, they charge people with assault with a deadly weapon, reckless driving, etc.
The relevance of my response was to show that being a libertarian doesn't mean you are opposed to laws that are meant to send messages or laws that simply clarify other laws. Being a libertarian is about not having laws that unduly infringe on your freedom.
These are more anti-libertarian aspects of the law. That seems a reasonable definition of a riot. The 10 years for damaging a memorial etc. is ridiculous, should be a misdemeanor or felony depending on the cost of repair/replacement, like any other vandalism. I don't like any law that takes authority from lower levels of government and pulls it up to a higher level, so that last one is garbage. Power should be more decentralized, residing more with local government, then county, then state, then federal with the least power. The country is instead on a 200 year journey of moving power the other direction.

Only Trump cared about the size of his crowds. We saw where that got him.

Kicked his whining "They stole the election" lying ass to the curb.

Under this law can lethal force be used against someone who isn't directly threatening you but just blocking your way?
Seriously you're still going with this? I guess football and the NFL draft is a waste of time since people can't actually stop someone on foot.
Other than that first case it sounds like that the driver might've intentionally hit the protesters.. The first case the driver is claiming she was chased and threatened but not seeing the video of it it's hard to say more. Regarding laws for vehicular manslaughter and reckless driving these laws specifically say those laws are still on the book and that intentionally or negligently driving into a crowd still applies. The question is though is there a current situation where under self-defense you can use lethal force against another party as you escape.
I've noted in the Jan. 6th thread you've gone to great lengths to say that you have to judge the people who invaded the Capitol individually. I find it interesting now you are good with this law's definition of "riot" as it collectives guilt for actions of a group as small as 3 people.

Enjoying something and boasting non-stop about it are two different things. Trump has a big fat ego that needs constant feeding.

Funny how taxing the rich higher in the 50's and 60's wasn't called socialism. The middle class had a better life when the wealthy paid their fare share of the taxes. But, no sense debating this to the greedy, who don't give a damn about anything but their own wealth.
