Just a sign of the times. Four years ago people were less chilly against the other... What happened? Outside the orange doofus, income inequality and wage deflation should take the spotlight. Been watching (doom scrolling?) too many business leaders fearing the end of the business cycle (or is it the beginning?) and how our massively large debt is promoting wishful thinking like MMT in hopes of spreading the wealth. That generally implies more taxes. It seems like people are either envious or resentful for what the other side has. I'm not Jonesing at the choice between Chavez or Mussolini in the near future if we don't get our **** together
republican IA house members pass two laws... one, that protects conservative speech in schools, the other, protects conservative racism in school... House passes controversial bill to ban ‘divisive concepts’ from school training, curriculum https://iowacapitaldispatch.com/202...ive-concepts-from-school-training-curriculum/
The Texas GOP is wasting our tax dollars with their BS lawsuits, and time spent trying to suppress votes, and spew their propaganda, instead of addressing the real issues people need help with. Ken Paxton allotted nearly 22,000 staff hours to ferreting out voter fraud cases, according to an article in the Houston Chronicle. 11 million voters and a whopping 16 cases found. What a waste of taxpayer money. Paxton, Cruz, Abbott, Crenshaw, and the whole lot of these guys need to go. They really do. People Think There Was Fraud Because We Kept Saying There Was Fraud, So Now We Need Voter-Suppression Laws The sleight-of-hand from Republican bullshit artists like Texas Governor Greg Abbott is a growing problem. I like how one bill is that they need to protect free speech and the other is we need to ban some speech. Another example of how many of the people on the Right don't even know what they're arguing for anymore.
