This. Saw some of the same thing during the YOF and LOF days. I would like to think that most of it is because we're rebuilding and losing but it's evident that even if we were winning if Player A is not being used the way they want or given the spotlight certain factions would still not be happy. It's a shame. I hate losing but understand that some times you have to take a step backwards to reposition and eventually move forward. I am embracing the suck right now and just trying to enjoy seeing players develop, but it's definitely a pain listening to some of the same whining, especially after a good game (which doesn't happen too often these days ).
Not sure what you’re looking for from real fans when their team is competing fir the worst record in the entire NBA for the third year in a row in a league where the worst record 86% of the time does not get the first pick. Tone of this site matches the empty seats at Toyota Center. People are frustrated and angry at the consistent losing. Rebuilds take awhile, but usually you are not the worst team in the whole league three years in a row. Especially when the fans around here were used to a yearly winning record and being on TNT etc.
You could say that but you could also say people are standing up for themselves and not bow to cyber bullying. In general one should be fair and say sorry if they overstepped.
The GARM is a refreshing break from the DnD. To quote Tim Breaux: If you can't handle me at my worst, then you don't deserve me at my best.
No, society based on anonymity and lack of accountability has become worse. Social Media is the worst thing to happen to humanity since religion. Check that, UNMODERATED social media is.... DD
One thing I've learned about Cyber Bullying and standing up to it.....is just to simply back away. If you seriously think about it, you are arguing with somebody you dont know, some one who is hiding behind a computer, so the only thing you and that individual is doing is going back and forth over the internet....basically a WAR OF WORDS. There are a few people on this board that I have basically refuse to respond to because we are not going to agree. They've insulted me, my opinions but at the end of the day it's just words and once you refuse to respond, they move on.
I agree in essence, I only said I observed there are more people with love for certain players instead of the whole team but that was expected given that the management and ownership isn't really elite. I don't really mind that part, I have found a way to deal with it. The best thing is finding a way to deal with it and take it easy.
I think it's been toxic just that the stench of losses makes it more noticeable compared to the harden years and before that. Like it's not folks just recently been ragging on dd for sht takes. Folks just got more aggressive.
Clutchfans is great because people still get called on their BS. Many posters that used to get demolished on CF have moved to Twitter and created their own echo-chambers. Holic and DocRocket were the first losers to make that move.
But you can say Sengun struggles on D, then the SOFs would flip **** and feel like we’re cyber bullying smh
Same. I'll still argue against bad takes, but I'm considerably more polite about it than I used to be.
I think the problem is that we have two different sets of player only or player first fans at the same time. It was bad enough just having one going back when it was Lin, but now we have equally toxic Sengun fans and Green fans constantly throwing tantrums. Oh, someone took more shots or played more minutes than your pet player but the team won? Time for a temper tantrum. It's been that way all season.
