You can hope satire pisses me off, but it doesn't. The ignorance of the right and the continual gas lighting of America by the GOP makes me sad and worried about the future our country. Satire doesn't affect me in the least. I'm just sorry so many of your comrades don't know the difference.

The problem with the babylon bee is that it's really not satirical beyond the fact that it's not true and meant to be humorous. Satire is a tool to actually expose something - there's supposed to be a truth in it. But everything I see from the babylon bee doesn't have that. This post for instance, it's just nonsensical unless you already believe democrats are the devil. And I think in that sense, there is something dark about the Babylon Bee. At least the Onion does poke fun at both sides and is hitting at a truth under the humor.
I don't have a problem with the Babylon Bee being a right wing satirical site at all. It doesn't have to go after Trump. The point I am making is that it's doing something more insidious. It's not poking fun at liberals, it's condemning them. It's not mocking policy or positions, but rather mocking liberals as a category - and in a derogatory way. Satire takes wit and intelligence to create and is meant to help give others a different perspective. I don't see that with the Babylon Bee. When I see those posts from you or others, I read them and just think "they need to try harder". There's plenty to satire Biden, BLM, AOC and others one that's actually based on fact - that's all I am saying. Does saying, "Socialists are idiots who keep stepping on metaphorical rakes" qualify as satire?

I do, but at times it goes being beyond just dumb into the territory of misinformation - that even though the story is clearly fake, the underlying message is a lie as well.
We could easily take all the babylon bee articles and replace them with right wingers and change the copy a bit and they'd make about the same sense. That's why it's not satire.
