The reason people are cynical is because they have seen this thread about 1000, including 4 times in the last 6 or so days. You could have just bumped that thread up.

I said the same thing you said multiple times in that thread and offered more in-depth reasoning than we don't have offensive players.

The problem becomes when you have Hayes and Alston on the floor at the same time missing shots. That makes it 3 on 5 and leaves two guys running at Yao and Ming before they touch the ball which forces Shane or Rafer to shoot a rushed shot they aren't comfortable with.

But like Hayesfan said, Chuck brings a lot of heart and intensity, the same thing that Francis supporters argue should be the reason he gets PT. So why should Hayes not get PT when he brings the same passion?

We lost on a back-to-back to the Warriors who are playing very well right now and we had just played a hell of a game against the Suns. So people need to calm down and not post these reactionary threads after every loss. I understand why they pop up after a 5/6-game losing streak, but one or two loses does not warrant these threads.

Like Aldeman showed with the Francis situation, he has not set his rotation in stone. This is a work in progress and he is working out the wrinkles. Give him atleast two months of basketball before you judge his knowledge of the game.

Well I can only looked back into the old Kings as I do not have any knowledge on the old Portland by Adelman. That's why old King was
put forward for review. Perhaps you can elaborate on the old Portland
on whether their players can score or not.

like ive said many times before, we will not get out of the first round with rafer and hayes as starters. we can be a 50 win team in the regular season but when the playoffs come, that is when the holes get exposed.

Man I really have to agree with this statement. This is somethin we knew from last year. These people who believe that rafer is going to all of a sudden be a solid point guard because of adelman are fooling themselves. I'm a Chuck Hayes fan but as much as I hate to say it, he may have to go, Battier too. The defense is good but it's just not enough. The NBA is changing. The spurs have specialty guys who are weak on offense because they also have guys like manu, brent and finley who can light it up in addition to there big two. We don't have that luxury. The only people lighting it up on our team is still yao and tracy. We need more scoring. Notice the best teams don't have a guy competing for the scoring title. Tracy will be tired by march.

i like this rotation. i'd like to see adelman give most of the minutes to that starting 5.

although you could substitute bonzi for shane to give the team a different look.

As Much as you hate Battier's Offensive game, our defense would be terrible without him defending the wing. Just give this offense some time. It'll get better. I do think Hayes needs to be benched though. He can contribute on any giving time, and would be perfect off the bench. This teams is starting to gel. We have sometime Sacramento didn't have. A Steve Francis type player that could distribute and score for himself. We also have the Bobby Jackson type player in Mike James. Its easy to be excited with potential like that.

Actually I thought this was a cleverly disguised "Fire JVG" thread. :D

Yeah, thats what we've been doing this season when Francis is hot. When he's not then we've been going with Hayes and Shane.

Hayesfan, I think you made a really good post. You made a point, backed it up and didn't need to call anyone a loser.

A lot of people believe that a better player makes a better team. Nobody thinks that Battier is one of the 12 best players in the league, yet he is picked to play on the Olympic team. Why, because he makes that team better.

I feelthe same way in the Rafer/James debate. I think James is clearly a better player, but for some reason that I can't really explain the Rockes as a whole play better when when Rafer is in the line up than when James is in the line up.

Hayes has one of the best +/- stats on the team. It's amazing how people want to bench the guy simply because he doens't score at a high rate. Can you guys say "team". Hayes pulls down the rebounds, dives after balls, sets screens and plays good defense and makes decent passes.
