Funny people are saying SA folds in the playoffs. How many championships have they won in the last 10 years?

The first 9 years were ABA. It just shows how much winning was integrated in that franchise since it started. But since you asked:

The Spurs made the ABA playoffs 8/9 times.
They have also made the NBA playoffs 33/37 times.

19 times. Both franchises started in 1967. The Rockets have made it to the finals 4 times (winning 2 of them) thanks to Hakeem and Moses. The Spurs have also made it 4 times, however they are undefeated. The Rockets have lost (made it in) the semifinals 7 times and the Spurs 17 times.

When they have a losing season they win (Duncan, Robinson). I don't think they will do it again in 2014.

Three, but the last one was in 2007. They're getting old. They won 3 championships in 5 years, and 4 in 9 years. Since then they've been regular season champs, but they run out of gas in the playoffs.

they have been performing poorly in the playoffs last couple of years when they have played exceptionally well during the regular season, so unless they can prove otherwise, i assume it will happen again

DUDE...i thought you'd just drop the ABA era. Now you went and made me write another post to point out that the first friggin 6 years were in Dallas. D A L L A S. Just please drop this whole ABA era of "The Franchise"

    it's
    Semi-Pro
    we are talking Semi-Pro
we are talking Semi-Pro in Dallas

    in   d a l l a s

Make no mistake...Will Ferrell's ABA could take him!

Oh, and as far as a second league goes,

RGV has a Title and a Finals appearance in four yrs of existence, as is tops in the Central Division again this year.

The Spurs Austin Toros are defending champions, but otherwise sucked and missed playoffs 5 times in the new 2nd league, and are behind RGV this again this year. Royce White will bring us home the Title again... :)

And let's not talk about the Texas Legends...the mavericks team.

suck it ABA Dallas and San Antonio!

The Rockets Franchise started in San Diego as an NBA team, and they were called "The Rockets."

The Spurs Franchise started in DALLAS as an ABA team, and they were called "The Chaparrals."

I'm sorry, but that is a really gay name to start your franchise off with. We are from Dallas Y'all, and we're the Chaparrals who wear Chaps y'all...

I don't think the Spurs will ever suck. Popovich can lead a Pre-K YMCA team to the playoffs...

No it was James Harden. The spurs were owning the thunder well into game 3 until James Harden went OFF

^i agree though it wasn't a one man effort, but Harden gave them that edge they needed

We've been through this. You are saying OKC "stole" game 6. Well, OKC was the superior team in Game 1. So didn't the Spurs "steal" that game, too. The only reason OKC lost their huge lead in Game 1 was playoff inexperience. It took another loss for them to learn from that...then FOUR wins in a row.

Quit making up excuses for FOUR losses in a row. OKC won that series because of their superior defense.

That defense is designed to beat the Spurs. OKC's defensive matchups was the Spurs worst nightmare in the Western playoffs last year. They couldn't handle it.

History told us though even they might suck one season or two after this current core leave. They will recover and find their next core very soon. 50 years of history don't lie. They are like the Indiana Colts of the nba.

Past performance is the best indicator of the future performance. I don't know what ways but I really believe the Spurs will somehow find a way. Great organization and it starts from the very top.

They are for sure not Magic/Cavs/Wovles or the like for sure who could somehow mess up no matter how lucky they were to get so much talent.

What's your point? The Cavs once had Lebron but still messed it up.

I never was one to believe that coaching was THAT important, but I am dead wrong on this one.

Last night the Grizzlies, get to within 4 points. Pop preceeds to chew his team out on a timeout, and the Spurs run buckwild. I honestly feel, that if he were coaching the Rockets, we are a 3 or 4 seed.

    POP is the GOAT.

I wish we had Pop. His system is a well oiled machine.
