No, just that his handles looked conventional, not as spectacular as the others, on the EBC clip I downloaded. What am I, funny? Here to f*ckin amuse you? I'm sure him being an NBA player had nothing to do with this. Not really. All I know about the EBC is what I downloaded from Kazaa. Streetball is played there. What else is there to know? So just because I don't know what the EBC is all about, I can't tell the difference between the way different people handle the ball? I didn't mention the crossover specifically. I noticed more that Steve's dribble wasn't as quick or deceptive as the others. And watch the clip, the ball wasn't bounced off Steve's head. The dude held on to the ball and jammed it into Steve's head, twice. Sweeeeet. Got it. Stop me. I didn't say streetballers were better players, just better ball handlers.
Thank you! And 1 is great entertainment much like the Harlem Globetrotters were. The problem is the younger players are trying to emulate them instead of say Tim Duncan or John Stockton ie. solid fundemental skills. I'm of the opinion that this is one of the main reasons the rest of the world has caught up with us. Why do you think there are so many international players in the NBA vs. 10 years ago. I'll bet there are lots of frustrated Junior High and High School coaches that would agree.
ive been wondering that for a long!! there are alot of great streetballers out there, but how come they dont make it or even try to make it in the nba???
I know what clip you're talking about. That was a punk move, but Steve did bounce it off someone's head in that same game if you really care. Anyways, Steve didn't win the EBC because he's in the NBA--a bunch of NBA players play there. His handles are some of the best in the NBA and more than hold their own at the Rucker or anywhere else. I don't know how many clips you saw, but Steve embarassed a few defenders in the same game from that clip you saw. Anyways go ahead and quote every line I wrote, what a joke...so sensitive...
and on top of that, and 1 tapes rarely show them actually finish the play and get to the hoop. being able to bounce the ball off someones head and "hide" it in your shirt dont mean anything if you cant score.
