Yeah, my wife thought the same thing. They made too much of him scanning the room, though. He definitely went for the biggest guy in the room, knowing he would come back at him angry and stupid - prime for a counter. Just like John's crying display and the reaction that came from it, Tony had to illicit an equally stunning reaction from his crew. No p*****s in Jersey, my friend!
honestly when he scanned you noticed first he was liek how much do you weigh while the guy was playin basketball and he was like hmm 265. Then he went in the room and each one of them were eating and looking very out of shape and then the bodyguard was the only one not eating. They also made something about tony's weight earlier and the bodyguard asked do you want me to make a program for you. This is the reason I brought up his crew looking old and out of shape earlier.
I think one of the reasons of why he hit the bodyguard, its because he said to Dr. Melfi that he dont want to look weak in front of his crew because he is the boss, so he took the more muscle man to hit, and I think he threw up blood, because he is still recovering and did abrupt movements.
A pretty mellow episode tonight. Gotta start feeling sorry for Vito. ...several friends have already asked me about the song that played in the gay club from last weeks episode. Some of you might be a liitle shy about asking so I'll post it. It's called Flashing For Money (Deep Dish Vs Dire Straits) by Deep Dish.
Very Interesting Episode.... 1. Vito's gay side is confirmed to the crew by Finn, and to Vito's wife by Sil. This is huge. Meanwhile, Vito ends up in New Hampshire. He was obviously thinking about killing himself while sitting by the waterfall, but now will he stay there? If he comes back to New Jersey, he is a dead man, even though Tony seems slightly sympathetic. 2. Tony asking Chris about the Middle Eastern guys they sold the credit card numbers to if they were "Al Qaeda". This, to me, will be a new subplot...these guys get whacked because Tony thinks he is doing a favor for the gov't and killing terrorists. 3. Carmela and the Spec House....Tony back to his old ways not doing what she asks by seeing the inspector, even after she stood by him in the hospital. Will the relationship take a downturn again?
Pretty good episode...Vito, vito, vito....Pretty crazy stuff, but its interesting to see how sympethetic Tony will be...We'll see what happens when vito comes back, if he does...Is New Hampshire a gay state? Not sure about the al queda story line... Meadow is hot, and I love seeing her, but she has to expand her storyline... Carmela's dad taking all the stuff...classic...
I love how finn finally stood up to that whinny brat, always defending her dad and his business, and the whole deal with vito, she was very unsupportive. some gay mafia member hits on me and her dad's his boss, I want something done, but meadow didn't even sympathize with the guy. she's a total b****. finn, "what do you think is going to happen to him". way to bring her back to reality.
meadow is just like her mother, living a lie. although she can't help who she was born to, unlike her mom who chose tony, but just like her mom she'll never leave the money and power and will always justify her father.
yeah she's hot, but gimme a sock or some tape or somethin to shut her up... not sure whats gonna happen with the whole story line, i think vito is a dead man even if he stays in new hampshire.
did anyone else think Chris might have opened himself up to trouble by telling the junkie more about the "job" than he should have. Like who they were hitting?
Yeah that was pretty stupid, spilling info to a junkie for something that's not supposed to point back at you. Still, Chris is damn funny. His explanation of why those guys aren't Al-Queda was hilarious, and his reply to the mid-life crisis argument, might have been the best comeback ever.
I think the story with Meadow is gonna be finn isn't going to want to be a part of family and its gonna cause real strife between her and Tony. they've already hinted that, remember in the second episode she mentioned she was wondering what his parents thinking about him being shot by jr. finn finally standing up to her about what her father is involved in. for a boyfriend, finn has already seen some screwed up stuff. remember the guy who committed suicide beating the crap out of little paulie at the construction site rite in front of him. vito stalking him. the guy is gonna take stock of his situation and bounce.
My theory... Vito will be found by his wife's cousin - (phil?) part of the brooklyn family and will be killed by him. That sets it all up for an all out Family war between NJ-Brooklyn since you can't kill a Captain and get away with it. What makes it even more interesting, the fact that Tony has his hitman to kill a NY Captain from order by Johnny Sachs. I think people in the NY family finds out it is Tony anyways despite hiring a hitman from Sicily. Chris...may try pin the hit on the Arab drug dealers to hide it from the NY family but in the end...the truth comes out. What could be VERY interesting is Meadow having to defend her family in court at the END of the season or at least be a part of the defense team.
okay, saw the whole episode last night. chris's blabbing to the junkie is a foreshadowing of his hollywood dreams. didn't realize that finn was called to testify before the commission. that's gonna cause real issues. if vito is killed finn won't be able to deal with it. finn is a straight line guy from a straight line family and he's already been involved in too much of tony's business. The whole vito plot is ironic because vito took over ralph's crew and ralph was the top earner but tony didn't like him and eventually killed him. now his top earner is vito but his presence could cause chaos but he wants to keep him around. I don't know if the writers do that on purpose.
