that's interesting, they are making him into a fredo character. does anyone remeber the scene in Godfather II when micheal is asking fredo to come clean about everything and fredo is talking about how he feels disrespected, they just want him to run clubs and show people a good time.
i gotta say, i have always thought that Sigler and Iler were both horrible actors in a show filled with great acting. Iler has changed my mind and has done some great acting this season, especially last night obviously. Meadow is the last remaining awful actor on the show.
You talking about the blonde with the huge rack? She looked like she gave birth to a mack truck! Then again....maybe I'll have to watch the episode again tonight to get a "closer look"..........
The dancer was ok...But man, why couldn't the get a better looking, hotter, Real Estate agent...Juliana is not very attractive, IMHO... I could have done without the brokeback moment, but overall a good episode...AJ is funny but at the same time a wimp...Couldn't even kill Uncle Jr. and the dry heaves... Also, did anyone catch the bad editing on AJ before and after the Boat scene...
Agree about Iler. I think the more mischief AJ gets into, the better you will see Iler's acting become. Sigler is poor....but she's HAWT so I give her a pass!
They should send someone a bit more intimidating than Patsy and that other old guy to put the squeeze on local merchants. I would think it was joke if they came up to me like that.
the point was there was nothing to squeeze from the place because all of the profits were so far removed from the store as I'm sure you gathered. I liked this aspect of last night's show, it showed how we as Americans are losing a grip on ownership of things that our parents and our grandparents had. More often than not in today's world we are simply drones with noone but the select few at the top making any real money. Also ironic because I suspect in moblif it has always been that with those at the top doing much better than those working for them also evident in the renter's reaction to the selling of the store by Tony.
The fact that they openly ripped on the non-reality of the Godfather last night (Tony: "Its only a movie, AJ"), leads me to believe that Chase will avoid any sort of similarities by getting the kids involved in the family business. The ONLY way he actually lets either one of them close to what he does for a living is if he's DEAD... end of story (and even then, Carmela... despite her hypocritical ways... would never stand for it).
Well, the Don never wanted Fredo to be a significant part of the family business either... Fredo: "Send Fredo off to do this, send Fredo off to do that..." Michael: "That's how pop wanted it." Fredo: "That ain't how I wanted it..... I'm smaaaaaart."
Life imitates art. Real life Artie Bucco seems like he's falling apart! http://www.cnn.com/2006/SHOWBIZ/TV/05/02/sopranos.arrest.ap/index.html And I just LOVE this quote from the guy from Queens who plays the bodyguard: "I don't know nothing," Gross, 23, told reporters. "I'm innocent. I'm always innocent."
damn i thought for sure nurse hathaway was going to get the Tony baquette with this new balanced Tony, i don't think there is anyway his has a part in getting Vido wacked..... what i could see is tony make some of deal with Vido, fake his death on the proviso Vido never returns not sure about the AJ panic attack thing...... wonder if he goes to see a shrink??? speaking of shrink maybe see will set to the plate to help tony overcome his button issues... especially with carmelo saying the sex was nice
'The Sopranos' joins video-game family Got yourself a game: The video game features characters Paulie, left, Silvio, Tony and Christopher. By Mike Snider, USA TODAY Gamers can stay connected with The Sopranos this fall with a video-game version of HBO's crime family. This Sopranos features the likenesses and voices of stars James Gandolfini (Tony), Michael Imperioli (Christopher), Steven Van Zandt (Silvio) and Tony Sirico (Paulie). "The key thing was (series creator) David Chase's interest in ... the ability to participate in an evolving art form," says Carmi Zlotnik, executive vice president of new media programming at HBO. Due in October, the game (from THQ, for the Microsoft Xbox 360 and Sony PlayStation 2, rated Mature for ages 17 and older) is timed to fill the gap in new episodes on HBO. The current sequence ends June 4; episodes are expected to resume in January. In this game, the player assumes the role of Joey, one of Tony's henchmen. Says THQ's Steve Dauterman: "It's contemporary as opposed to (Electronic Arts') The Godfather and (Vivendi Universal's upcoming) Scarface, which are more of the previous generation of crime-family games." link
Another awesome episode last night. With three episodes left this season, and six to finish off the series after that, I think I am beginning to see how the show will line up for the finish. I like how they focus on a couple of the ensemble characters each episode and then you don't see them the next episode. Tony...surviving the shooting has changed him. He is now faithful to his wife, and acts as if he enjoys each day. I do not believe he will get whacked. I believe he will get convicted of something. Someone will rat Tony out....possibly Johnny Sack. Christopher....finally has the child he always wanted. Beautiful new wife and house. Yet his addictions keep getting the better of him. He will probably OD and die. Paulie Walnuts...prostate cancer....you can see it coming. I really liked last night's episode because of the growing bru-ha-ha between Paulie Walnuts and Bobby Baccialeri, seeing Paulie go back to his "Mom"'s comfort at the end (because he's freaked out about his diagnosis), and to see how Janice's doting over her baby is alienating Bobby's other kids.
