Well, no way they leave Tracy to help on Yao, and they can't leave Stro because he's right there in the paint. They could help off of Luther at the top of the key, but with the way he shoots from outside, I wouldn't do it, personally. Helping off David puts everyone way out of defensive position because David would be smart enough to slip down into the corner and wait for the skip pass for an open 3.

Still, with the way I drew that play up, MANY good things can happen. I will try to explain some of them...

    - Yao is open on the cut directly across for a layup or at least a postup with good position.
    - Yao is open for the jumper at the free throw line.
    - Yao recieves the pass at the free throw line but isn't open, so he dumps it down to Stromile who has sealed his man under the rim.
    - Tracy can't make the pass to Yao, so Yao continues through the paint and sets a pick for Tracy and they run the Pick N' Roll from the wing.
    - Tracy can't make the pass to Yao, so he hits Luther at the top of the arch coming off of David's screen for a 3.
    - Tracy can't make the pass to Yao, so he hits Luther at the top of the arch. Luther doesn't have enough space to get the shot off, but Yao is now in position to run the Pick N' Roll with Luther.
    - Tracy can't make the pass to Yao, so he passes to Luther, who passes to David, who passes to Stromile posted up one-on-one on the weakside.
    - Tracy can't pass to ANYONE and has to create. Not a bad worst case scenario in my opinion :D

Obviously there are many more. I feel that it's a flexible offense that could be really good if executed correctly. I really think Yao would work well in this kind of offense.

I like to see yao come on top of the key and try to creat a shot say for tmac or wesely . say, yao comes on to of the key, then tracy cuts without the ball and yao hits him with a behind the back pass for a easy layup. I think we should try to play some motion offense with yao.

    Did you mean "backdoor pass"?

If so, yes, that's one more of many options that could be executed using Yao in the high post type offense.

Yes. i believe we can play alot better without the ball. our positioning is horrible. there is no off the ball movement. were just not a very creative offensive team.
