i've said that several times, he should play like battier, battier should look for his shot a little more i think, and that's not to say he shouldn't ever drive, or take control, but he needs to pass the effing ball. yesterday was absolutely ridiculous, he tries to bully his way into the paint when it's much more effective to swing the ball around the perimeter or to post and slash
and you say that based on what? how many times have we heard mcgrady's trade value was at all time low since last year? yet we got a nice offer from the pistons. and artest is not someone like sf3 who can't play any more. he's still in his prime years. he's worth more than many ordinary expirings. the thing is les and morey have to make up their minds. it's not what we can get; it's if we want to do it.
No it really is what you can get. Would you prefer to have a chance at Bosh, 'Bron, or Wade, or do you just want to jump at the chance to get rid of Tracy? Tracy's expiring 20+ million dollar contract is worth more then Tracy the player. The thing is how good are the pieces on the team without Tracy or Ron? Is this team a title contender without either of those players? I say no. That means you would need to get back a player that would make you a contender or you would need to officially go into rebuilding mode. Or you could take your time and truly evaluate the situation and make sure the team as presently constructed doesn't have a chance to win it all. I think the Rockets will go with the latter.
Hinrich is not the answer. Even though his contract gets smaller every year, it's too much money for a guy that's not dramatically better than Rafer. I'm not saying he isn't better then him but there's not a lot of upside. Even though his minutes aren't as high with Rose playing majority of the PG. Not only that, you can't trade Artest to pick up a PG and not trade Alston. It's not going to work. Adelman isn't going to cut AB's minutes down. No way they go with three PG's. And if the Rockets are going to trade Alston, it's going to happen over the summer or next year's trading deadline. He has a expiring contract that over $5mil.
What? Sure you can trade for Hinrich and not include Alston....why not? A lot of teams keep 3pgs on the roster.... DD
that's an interesting proposition. any details? and espn speculated a couple of nights ago that the suns may put their major pieces, nash, shaq, even amare, on the block if they keep sliding. as a fan i'd prefer a splash.
ash and amare Needs is not rocket shaq is old,And certainly do not want him to make rocket replacement
No never...he has been a ball hog his entire career. Not to mention his 10mil/5yr contract...I'm suprised at you DD. Did I mention he was injury prone?
You guys must be crazy, you wanna trade away the toughest player we have???? yea,Ron had a bad night, but most of our guys sucks that night, this is his first year as a roxer,he is learnning, new teammates, new system(same coach, but different system in Houston/Sacramento). I still believe,he is a warrior,he is our fortune,he is an important piece of the team, especially in the playoffs.TIME WILL SAY I'M RIGHT,you guys will eat your words!
I think something of a 3 way could be more practical. Maybe something involving the Magic (need a PG baaad), Suns (need defense), and us (chemistry issues). I could see Detroit looking for a trade or 2 as well.
The funny thing is that I think things through differently than most people... I look at his skill set and what it would do or not do to the team to come to my conclusions. Sometimes players that don't fit elsewhere would fit here.......but feel free to disagree. It is all just opinion anyway.....we all can look at the same problem and come up with completely different solutions. DD
