UT's class is better than A&M's. The rankings put WAY too much stock in quantity over quality. Anyone who think Miss State's class is top 5, is smoking Nate Newton's ganja. Top to bottom, I would rate UT with a top 5 class. It could be higher, if they had landed either Washington or Moss at DE.

I love these intellectual debates on recruiting. Has ANYBODY here seen ANY of these recruits play a game? And no, I don't mean the 10-second highlight reel of some enormous dude pancaking some dweeb from the suburbs. I especially love it when UT brings in such a huge haul, then is flabbergasted when they don't win the national championship, because after all, they do have the best players, right??? Rivals.com said so, so it must be true.
Don, It says a) Texas needs to beat OU soon, but even so Mack still has it b) We went for quality over quantity, that is the way it should be The talent is, has been, and will continue to be here under Mack, I'm just taking the view that this means that Mack was a lot more selective in recruiting this year, and seems committed to the talent we have at the 40 acres, and in my opinion, that will give us the best chance to develop kids and win. We didnt lose much from last year, except for Simms, Redding, Babers. But Pickyrl and a healthy Tubbs/Thornton should do fine in Cory's place, then you have griffin, huff, and the corners we recruited who can fill Babers role. VY is special, if we just do what Fla is doing with Leak, we will be very good. Plus Dallas Griffin is from my high school and all .
